I am purchasing a modular home. My mother in law has purchased the property. She's nutzo. I want a notorized document to protect me and my family. What should my concerns be?

She said she would'nt evict us for any 'looney' reason, but I want to make sure she doesn't have an 'episode' and decide to put us out.

Also, what about when I build a garage, the deed is in her name? How should I contruct a document that clearly says that we can build whatever whenever?
What happens when we decide to move? How do we sell, the house, and the property?

I have a million concerns, what should I be sure to put in writing?

I have found that places like Home Depot or Wal-Mart usually have the best prices, and since I have owned my home (and garden, yeah!) that is where I have been getting my plants and flowers from. But sometimes, I drive by one of those smaller, farmer type stores, and think I should go in just to see what they have, but I'm usually in too much of a hurry to do it. But from what I see from their displays outside, some of their stuff really looks top quality.

Although, with a little Miracle Gro, anything can look pretty good, right? ;-)

These pesty beetles invaded my pool in the backyard and I am having a real tough time getting rid of them. We try several "shock" threatments that are supposed to rid the waters of bugs and slime, but it doesn't seem to affect the black diving beetles.

I am a new house and lawn owner. I was first dealing with fire ants and mosquitoes and seem to have them under control. I purchased a bag of weed and feed from home depot and sprikled it all around my lawn. I noticed that some areas turned brown and I am worried about that. My neighbors have beautiful lawns and I feel I am ruining their image as well. I turn on the sprinklers 2 to 3 times a day. And oh yes, Im in Houston, Texas. Any advice on products I can use? Or things I can do? Anything?

Can I buy a 450.000 dollar house with an income of 73,000 anually? I would enclose the closing costs in the morgage. The taxes are about 900.00 a year. What kind of monthly morgage would I be looking at. I was told by a broker that putting down 10,000 would not be worth it. Only a significant amount would effect the morgage. Is it doable, and how much would I have to tighten up? Thanks.

1300 SF house, pier and beam cabin, 100% ro
18 Foot ceilings
energy star windows, #13 insul in floor and ceiling
No current unit; no ducts
Now using two window units
live in country in Texas
3 bids from 5K to $13,700 K
We are in our 60's, so we arn't looking for a 50 year unit
Our climate and build of house is pretty good, we don't need to use A/C, only in July, August and Sept...we like to have windows and doors open...kind of rough it.

The big hitch seems...some say we need 2.5 tons and others say we need 5 tons, apparently due to the high ceiling.

Some say we need 13 seer, others say we need 15 seer

Some say we need metal ducts, others say we can have flex ducts (the compressor unit will be under the house, they say we need metal due to possible rodents etc.

With the new conservation title 24 laws, we juast had a bid done for a 1300 sq. ft house. Both companies said around 7K

Thanks for reading this I hope you can help us, we are confused

I want to independize myself soon. I am 19yrs old now, but I am a little afraid of many things because there are certain areas in my life that I haven't matured yet, but I feel that by living by myself for the first time in my life even if I "suffer" I am going to mature more.

First I don't cook......

How did you survived living by yourself?

I do most of my colors in cold water, and have been using that new Tide....it seems okay, but I wonder if its just a gimmick. Maybe I could probably be getting the same results with the big ol' tank of Kirkland (Costco brand) detergent?

The tag on the planting containers said that they loved sun???? That is why I didn't buy regular impatients this year because my garden gets way too much sun. They look great in the evening and morning, but during the day, they look like they are about to shrivel up and die. So....why do these New Guinea Impatients do the same thing? I've even lost 2 so far :-( and usually I have such good luck with my flowers.
