Stay in your van and keep your business. Everyone should live in their car once in their life. It teaches you to be humble. When your financial situation does break through the brick wall, you will really appreciate the home you move into.
Look at the guy who created Clif Bars. He was living in a garage and now he has one of the most successful energy bars out there on the market.

Nice flat, GOOD job, move forward, admit defeat, learn from your mistakes and live to fight another day. No need to get a crap job, if your feeling low because you can't keep the business going, dust yourself down and start all over again. The last thing you want to do is turn ito a skanky gypo!! You are not at rock bottom, so don't lower yourself!!

become a gypsy, not only does it make a nice story, but it also is really not that bad. Aside from not having constant water its pretty fun, you can go where ever you want. And for a little extra cash you can sell anything that you own that you don't have room for and aren't too attached to on eBay. And never under estimate the power of a camp site.

In this year 2006, you can live in a caravan but it does not mean you are a gypsy...I know a few people who are selling there houses and going in to a static caravan for 11 months out of 12....its the in thing to do due to the increase in the house markets at the moment..so I say yeah take time out but you dont have to live like a gypsy just pretend your on vacation......good luck mate in your future travels....

This reminds me of the question -"what is more important to you :truth/freedom or comfort?"
They may not be exclusive, but sometimes we have to chose. In the end we'll all die, most of us get ill, etc,etc..and it could happen anytime.
For me ,real success is to find out what we really want ,and face our fears to do it.
Also ,of course ,we may have to recognise that we no longer want the same thing from time to time, and then go through the process again.
And,a crap job, home etc, are no longer crap when they are the means to our dreams.

Have you considered just getting another job to help raise capital for your business? Why is it mutually exclusive? Scale back your business to part time, work another job, raise capital, and if the business is truly as good as you claim, things will turn the corner eventually.
That happens to be almost exactly what a good friend of mine has been doing, and as of right now, it's working. He is on track to leave his other job next year if things stay as they are.

Hi,
Have you tried to take out a business loan? Many people have started where you are and kept believing in their dream and have been very successful. Think about all the European immigrants who started with less than you and still stayed alive, because they believed in their dream.

It's nice to be a gipsy.....for a while! But eventually, you'll be tired of it and want a - what society calls - a normal life. Then, finding a decent job will be even more difficult. You know, you WILL get older one day, and then what?
