Had to snake a vintage tub (1950s) took over flow plate off. All was fine until reassembling plate cover. Special screws are about 3/4 inch long with a square tip did not tighten up. Hardware and Homecenters offer replacement cover plates with bolts that are standard in design and an inch too long. The overflow plate bracket has no holes to accept bolts of the length Cast Iron tub / galvanized plumbing is ok in other respects. No service panel - area above tub is tiled.

It gets sunlight in the late afternoon, like 4 or 5. I don't care if its annual or perennials, but I would prefer something easy! I live in IL. I was thinking about just putting a bunch of wild flowers seeds down but I didn't know if they would grow there. Any suggestions?

We called it a pouf, it was about 48" on diameter and 30" in height and upholstered. I think it was bought at Breuners. Anybody know?

I am covering hideous tile from the 50's in my kitchen and want to glue bead board right on top of it so I need it to be thin (1/4" at the most) but tall because my ceiling is almost 9 feet tall and I don't want a seam. Anyone know where I can find it local in St. Louis or online?

I have a vinyl tile kitchen floor with white or off-white grout. Due to traffic and cooking, the grout gets nasty in pretty short order. Is there a product or method to clean it easily? Thanks.
