Name of round backless chair my family had in the 1960's.?

We called it a pouf, it was about 48" on diameter and 30" in height and upholstered. I think it was bought at Breuners. Anybody know?

That is what it is called. We had one too.

Many people in my part of the country would call it a "stool".

I think it was a telephone stool it fitted under small telephone tables inside the front door. Can't think what they called them.wikipedia calls it a 'bench and desk'
