I live in CT, and I saw a Baltimore Oriole in my garden (on my deck to be precise) for the first time this morning. I haven't put out anything special, just bread and a little all purpose bird seed. But we also have several types of flowering plants around the garden. How can I continue to attract Orioles to my garden? What kind of food and plants do they like in particular?

My fiancee and I just moved in together at her home. The plan is to fix it up and probably move within the next 1-3 years. She thinks that Vinyl siding is the way to go, but I think since the chances are we will be selling the house that I should just paint it myself. We got an estimate for 17k for the vinyl siding and she seems to think that we will get all or most of that back in the resale value of the home. Does anyone have a clue if this is true?

I bought a house in January. It's in town and has a gravel driveway along side that leads to the back where it takes up half of the back yard. All the previous owner did where it stops was lay down 2x4's (held in place with steel rods) as the barrier between the gravel and the rest of the yard. I want to extend this 4 more feet into the yard so I can fit one more car in the back. I do not know what is involved in doing this but cannot afford to pay a contractor $1200 to do it. The one thing I do know is that I cannot just spread some gravel over 4 feet of back yard and expect everything to be ok. What is involved in making the base needed for the gravel, and can I do it just household tools and no heavy equipment?

It had soldered tubing, burn marks, and the whole bottom back panel was missing. At its coldest setting it is at 62 degrees. I didn't really look at the back at first, just plugged it in, because it was supposed to be new. I called Sears and told them I wanted them to take it and bring another one, because I didn't want to pay for a serviced fridge, brand new out of the box. After setting up a delivery time, I discovered the burn marks, etc, which concerns me, in case they try to claim that I did it and voided my warranty. Makes no sense, of course, to do that to a newly-bought appliance, but you never know. I wondered if anybody else has had a similar experience. I live in the Dallas, TX area.

I had a gown from my daughters christening stored in a box and took it out and found it's all yellowed and stained. Would really like to be able to clean it so that her daughter could use it.

It's a WITCHKING STATUE from LORD OF THE RINGS. I need either a moulding to protect it or it's original box and polystyrene.
