For anyone who has shopped for a bathtub, finding one that stands out from the rest for functionality and aesthetic appeal is not always the easiest thing to do because there is not a lot of information on the market about bathtubs. I want to know what bathtub stands out in 2006.

I made 8 beautiful 3 inch pillar candles last year and put them in a fireplace sconce but in hot weather, they all melted and became misshaped. Is there an additive to make them retain their shape even when its 90 - 100 degrees?

The fire extinguisher in our home lost pressure, mostly because it's never been used. Can I refill it? Where?

It doesn't even sound like it will start. It has compression, new gas/oil, plug looks ok. I've even pushed a toothpick through the cap vent hole.

The stairwell is in the middle of the first floor of an old building and leads to the basement. I would like to be able to remove the railing and place a cover over the rectangular stairwell (4' X 10') which would allow me to create more open space on the first floor when necessary.

This sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Especially for those of us in South Florida, who HATE cutting the lawn in Summer (or maybe some of you don't mind the hot, steamy weather). You could have a mower with a sound system built in, and maybe even a DVD player. Or perhaps that would be too distracting.
You could even have a cooler for soda, and a holder for chips.
Okay, so maybe I'm going too far. What do you think?

I have tried to warm it up and scrape it with a knife and run it over a wax paper and then use warm rag to clean it - neither worked.

I went to look at my flowers this morning and half of my petunias are missing their flowers, some of them were plucked from the ground. I've never seen this happen, could it be deer? We have deer, but I didn't think they liked petunias.

What is a good and inexpensive way to update wood paneling in a mobile home? I cannot afford drywall, i was afraid that paint would look tacky (plus how well would it stick?) Wall paper IS NOT an option. I've considered textured paint with wainscoting that i found at a discount builders outlet or sheets of plain white paneling to paint.Think these would work?

How much should I put on a 24" square board. Where could I buy mineral oil with no fragrance, if that is what I need? I know not to use food oils like olive and canola, because they go rancid, but don't want a perfumed dinner.

The structure presently there is an aluminum frame with the individual slats of glass that crank out and a storm door. I want to remove this and frame it in and finish it with siding or something else but I'm not sure how to frame in an outside wall and what is needed as far as insulation or protection from the elements for the outside of the wall.

We live in a quasi rural area and the news reports an especially heavy tick season. There is a new infant in the home and I don't want him exposed to this problem. I have two dogs and I noticed one in the kitchen after they came in from outside. We give the dogs a monthly pill for fleas and ticks. What else can I do?

I called the builder a couple of weeks ago, he sent someone out. The guy said our toilets were overfilling, then draining the excess off into the tank, which was putting too much load on the tank. Sounds like hogwash to me, but I gave it a week. Anyway, I called the builder again since I'm still having problems, but my warranty expires next month. I have nothing in writing to show that I'm having problems in the warranty period--it's all been between the builder and the guy who installed the tank. To make matters worse, my family and I will be out of the house (and not using the septic tank) for an extended period of time--right before the warranty runs out. Any thoughts?
