Put on your favorite music, turn off the phone so you will not be distracted, turn off TV for same reason. Put out a large trash bag or box for things you don't want. Start in one corner and work your way through putting things away or throwing them out. When finished with that vacuum or sweep (depending on floor covering) then wax furniture. Stand back and admire.

Start at the top like the ceiling area...such as a ceiling fan or the light in the room and work your way down from there so all of the dust etc settles to the floor which you then clean last. For motivation, I would say some really good music!

Clean top to bottom so that dust falls to the floor as you go. If you havn't used it in a year, you're not going to - have a garage sale, to motivate invite a bunch of people over, you'll have to clean before they get there and chances are it will still be cleaner after they leave than before they got there. Also, if you make enough money at your garage sale, you can hire the cleaning people! LOL!

A exciting way is having your individuals help. turn on you customary music, have 4 bins categorised toss, save, wash, donate, and also you and your individuals can merely throw something in the properly proper bins. Then toss the junk, positioned away the keeps, wash the dirty, and promises some thing else to the needy.i does no longer difficulty to a lot about what your pal imagine of a messy room. Their rooms are probable only a similar as yours. there's a putting forward that i hit upon real. Many hands make mild paintings.

1. Turn on the music - turn off the TV and computer!
2. Make a list. Write down the things you need to accomplish and mark them off as you get them done.
3. Focus on one room at a time. Do not leave that room till it's done so that you don't get distracted by other things. Use a laundry basket or a box to put things in that go in another room. Take it with you from room to room.
4. Time yourself. See how fast you can get a room done and try to beat your record each time you do it.
5. Set a reward. Choose something to do after you've finished - even if it's just watching some TV, playing on the computer or having a Coke on the porch. DON"T cheat!! Don't let yourself have your reward till you are done. (Which reminds me, I better get off here!)
Good luck!

ON the assumption that you are referring to a bedroom and that you doing a complete overhaul:
You will need:
garbag bag or bin
large basket
1. Make sure that your drawers and closets are neat so that you can put things away while you tidy. If not, tidy the drawers one at a time by placing the contents of the drawer on your bed, and sorting it out. Junk goes in the garbage immediately, stuff for other drawers go into other drawers as per the need (you will get to them later) and stuff for other rooms go into a basket for this purpose. Do your closets in the same manner, but a shelf at a time.
2. put everything from your dresser on your bed and sort out as above. Refrain from putting things on the dresser - clutter looks messy. Only things which you use daily can go on the dresser or desk (brush, deo). Small bits, like jewerelly or hair accessories, should go in stacking boxes or small boxes in drawers.
3. Put everying from the floor on your bed and sort. The only things you should out back on the floor are garbage bins or chest of drawers. Otherwise, everything should have a place.
4. Sweep the room, make the bed and enjoy!
tips:
1. small baskets for socks and undies are great!
2. Lots of little items which can get lost are better off in small boxes
3. categorise your stuff so that the things you use more regularly are withing easy reach, and the things you dont need so often, away. eg: my everyday outfits are at the front of the shelves and at eye level, and my outfits for special occasions are higher.
4. if you havent used it in a while, and dont needs it now, throw it out out or give it away!
5. get into the habit of straightening your bed and dresser in the morning, and it will be easier to maintain

I remember when I was a little kid we had a book called "how to clean your room" and it suggested that the best way to start was to make the bed, then put EVERYTHING on the bed, then clean off the bed.
That way it is all in one place and you have to deal with it at least before going to bed that night!

Haha, I agree with putting everything on your bed first! It's easierto organize, then I hang up all my clothes and start piles. Helps to have good music and a trash pile to make the next cleaning escapade easier.

Start at the door way and just work your way around the room, picking up wiping things off organizing as you go. before you start have two rags one with polish, one with a lil bit of glass cleaner ( depends how much glass tops in there). 16 years experience.

Do some type of cleaning each day. 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Finish each of the job as a start.
