I had a gown from my daughters christening stored in a box and took it out and found it's all yellowed and stained. Would really like to be able to clean it so that her daughter could use it.

I would find a cleaner that specializes in restoration of heirloom clothing to see what they can do.

This happened to my Wedding Dress and it also turned yellow and it had been preserved.I took it to the Dry Cleaner that preserved it and they told me that there was nothing that they could do because when it turned yellow it was due to the fact that the material went from hot to cold since I had it in my up stairs.I was extremely upset since I thought that when you have something preserved this is not suppose to happen. This was done 14 yrs. ago. If you find that the yellowing can be reversed PLEASE let me know. Thank You.

Don't try and do this yourself---it will be ruined. Take it to the drycleaners and have it done. It's too precious to take a chance.
