u could get a steam cleaner and put bleach and staem clean it and see if that helps

I swear by Woolite Oxy-Clean carpet cleaner. It takes out red wine and tomato sauce almost immediately...spray it on and wait a few minutes, then sponge with water. The other Woolite carpet cleaners don't work as well, but this one is really amazing.

I found a cleaner called "Unbelievable" taht is the best cleaner. It helped me get Big Red soda out of my vehicles carpet. Our local store quit carring it, but did a web search and found the company's website and contacted them. It even got out orange juice that I found dripped down out of a sippy cup and stained my couch. Came right up in seconds.

Shout works as well on carpet as it does on clothes. You will need to rub it in with a brush or towel after you spray it on the carpet.
