I have recently noticed gnats in the house, could it be from the new plants we just brought in?

Could be whiteflies. Probably from an over watered plant. I would do an immediate quarantine. Safer or some other insecticidal soap may help.

YES! i had a nasty plant once, and a fly laid eggs in it and the next thing i knew the house was surrounded by the little devils!

Could be termites they look like gnats. Coincidence?

that's a likely source, or someone just left the door open too long
