Women's Health - October 2007

I posted earlier that FF (Feritility Friend) had given me an Ovulation day of CD15, but when I entered yesterday's temp it took it back saying there wasn't enough info. My temp went back up today but FF still says the same thing. Last month FF couldn't detect an O day either but I just thought it was b/c I wasn't temping the same time everyday, this month I am testing the same time of day (set my alarm for 6AM). I guess, I'm just worried I'm not Oing. I get AF (period) every 28-30 days. Can u get a period and still not O?
I had a MC in Jan and AF has been pretty heavy until last month.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I starteda new pack on Sunday...then missed Monday and Tuesday...took Tuesdays and Wednesdays on Wednesday and then Today (Thursday) I took it this morning...and by Lunch I was started my period...but I kinda wasn't because it was brown...Why? And What is it?

Okay... well about 2 years ago was the last time I took antibiotics so I completely forgot about the antibiotics decresing the effects of birth control. Yeah, I feel a little stupid. Anyways, it was when I was actually ovulating when this took place. It was 2 weeks before I was supposed to start my real period when I started bleeding. I was still taking my birth control and about 2 weeks before I was supposed to start my sugar pills. So I should have started my real period about a week and a half ago, but none! I am always a few days early and never late. The only time I was late was when I was pregnant before. So I don't know what's going on. My family has said I haven't been myself. My boobs are pretty sore, I feel so ditzy, I'm a little dizzy. I don't know.. help me!!!

I had a pap smear almost a month ago, and they just let me know that it came back as abnormal and i should go back in 6 months instead of 12... she said something about HPV, but didn't explain anything. Am i at Risk for anything since it came back abnormal?

I am currently on week 5 (of 12) of my Lamisil oral treatment for toe-nail fungus and experienced a bout of breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at a time in cycle when i shouldn't be) after intercourse with my hubby. Has anyone experienced this before? I have noticed this on the list of possible side effects, but wanted to make sure that no one has found that the bleeding leads to something worse....

OK correct any facts that is wrong to begin with.I have a merina IUD and love it.I haven't had a period in over 5 years(had second one put in).My question is this if we are born with all the eggs we ever have then what happens to them if you go on birth control and don't have a peroid to release on every month.Is it going to delay the "change of life" or will more the one egg release at a time when I do go off and start getting a period.I would love to hear from someone in the medicial feild that has correct answers but hearsay or your thoughts are welcome.

nipple darkening? Because I took it on sunday, well actually put it under my tongue and changed my mind and tok it out for fear of vomiting side effects, im weird dont ask...but could the medicine have still leaked a little into my blood stream and caused nipple darkening? Both my nipples show the coloration but arent sore or anything. My doc told me I had sex on the exact day of my ovulation day 12 becasue im on a 25-26 day cycle. But still intercourse was only about five days ago, but I also had sex a few days before that, when I thought I wasnt ovulating. I thought all girls ovulate between the 14-16 naive I know. Anyways my rags due next week but curious y they r darker. thanks

i have been on the pill for 5 years now and was weighing the pro's and con's of other types of birth control like the shot, that inserted ring device and things like that. i was just wondering what you personally thought was the best, what your side affects were and basically ur experiences with other types of birth control. i still intend to use a condom even when im on the pill of the shot or whatever i choose but i do want another form just in case.

my skin breaks out alot when i use the pill..ive tried switching brands and no real difference was had between the 8 different types i tried..does anyone else have this problem?

p.s i cant use the patch. i tried it once and it burned my skin severely and left a red mark that took over a year to go away.

p.p.s is anyone on the pill that only gives u 3 periods a year? if so can u tell me about ur experiences with it cuz that sounds like a blessing to me! lol

I have been having the depo injection for about a year now. But the thing is I want to go back onto the pill as depo gives me terrible mood swings. My next shot is due next week. Will the doctor tell me to start taking the pill right away or what?
How do you go about going back onto the pill after depo?

Hey, I'm on Marvelon 28 for a few years now, and I just found out for the last two days, I took the last two pills of the third row instead of the first two pills of the third row as usual (was holding it from the side we don't see a thing...), which means I just took the two last pills before the placebo pills of the pack... They probably have less hormons in them because now, I have a bit my periods even if it's supposed to be in a week.

my mum remarry 5 years ago and never managed to conceive. recently, an aunt gave my mum royal jelly to eat ( a special honey) and this is what happen......

my mum is 45 years old. her period is late this month. although she hadn't checked yet, she thinks she is pregnant.

i'm scared because i think she is old and my youngest brother is already 16. however, i don't really want to say this kind of things because i just don't want to spoil the happy mood if she really is pregnant.

i'm afraid it's dangerous for her health. or the baby. any opinion or true stories?

i recently got off the depo shot.Havent had period for over a year.my last shot was due late Aug.but since I'm abstinent I dont ned&caused a lot of problems like weight gain&migraine and major depression&lack of energy.My Dr.recommends I go on birth control for ovarian cysts but I wanna try a home or herbal remedy to get my periods to start so my hormones are back in balance b/c I dont feel like myself.Am always tired.If anyone has any info on anything they used or heard of that isnt prescribed to help start periods thats natural or even over counter please let me know.I dont feel like a woman without my periods.I dont like them,but now that i am older,31&had 3 kids my periods have lessened.When i actually have periods.I dont need something that will make me bleed ongoing.And the only thing I know that can start& make u continue u is b.c.pills&hormone pills which i dont want the side effects.please help someone!

i recently got back together with my ex and ever since i have gotten two bacterial infections (every time i sleep with him) he says he didnt sleep with anyone else, but of course i am not an idiot, i never got them before....he doesnt have insurance and i told him unless he gets checked i'm not sleeping with him anymore. i would rather not live off of pills to get rid of it. what causes bacterial infections...what would he have. any thoughts....thanks.

i think this drug should be taken off the market. it screwed up my system completely even a year after taken..too many side effects..to the point that i am even anemic.. same with my friend.we both took it at the same time...it's a horrible, dangerous drug.

help.. i think i'm losing my hair, i am deff. noticing a change... its a LOT thinner and i am actually, thinking about it, noticeing a huge difference.. i am straightening and washing everyday... but i never used to lose hair and i havnt even done it for the past week or so...

My knee has been hurting so bad ..for about 3 days ..its usually in the morning and at night time..
I also get lower back pains if i move to fast (like to pick something from the ground)
i feel sick..mainly in the morning..or sometimes right after i eat something..(example ..cereal..which i eat most mornings but never felt sick after eating it before)

umm random headaches..and chest pains..

i know i have to go to the doctors..and i will..but i just want to know what you guys think it is?

ok so ive been on mercilon for about 2 months, the first month i had spotting, and the second (september) was fine. im due to have my period on sunday, since i take my last pill today, on thursday. however, i just went to the toilet, and saw a spot of blood.
i think its my period.
how come i have them now ?
i do admit to being on anitbiotics for the month of september because of an infection i caught, and having missed a pill due to illness once 2 and half weeks agom but i dont know what to do.
do i take my last pill today, and then go through with the 7 tablet free days? will i be pregnancy protected once i start my new pack ?
