well, you should go get tested for your own sanity. if you have hpv then he has hpv, there is no test for men. if he has warts then he may have infected you.
when it comes to infections you both should be treated for them because they can be sexually transmitted and you will continually pass it back and forth. the thing is, men do not usually show signs of infection like we do. You may have a sexually transmitted bacterial infection. These things can wreak havok on yur system if they are not treated properly. To the point of PID which can cause alot of pain for you and the man ofcourse has no symptoms of anything... not that a man can get PID, but they spread the sexually transmitted infection that causes it without knowing.
Please get checked for HPV because he can be the person spreading this and if you don't find out and he does sleep with another woman he can be carrying one of the strains that cause cervical cancer and he should know if he is a carrier so he doesn't run around risking a woman's life.
It is horrible when we have an infection, I know my first thought is "This MF has cheated on me!" I have been there and made my current bf get checked before we were sexually active and I have made him get checked since because I had an infection. I always feel like he doesn't drink, do drugs or smoke cigarettes so other women must be his vice... so far, I have just been wrong.
There are places you both can go for free to get checked for std's. As for you alone, Planned Parenthood is a good place, they can check your bf as well and charge him on a sliding fee scale, there are also clinics that do that as well. Contact your health department or local assistance office to find out locations in your area. Most clinics have a family planning program where yu can get a pap and tested for std's and the program will take care of the charge for you if you don't have any insurance. If you are covered then go to your PCP and get checked, you may be treating the wrong kind of infection and they would be best to diagnose and treat it for you.
But don't allow yur bf to get away with the I don't have insurance excuse to not be tested because there are places available and they can charge him accordingly and it wouldn't be much. Plus, how badly does he want it? Enough to get checked I bet!

I would treat the bacterial infection completely before having intercourse again. Always urinate as soon as possible after intercourse. This flushes the urethral opening and guards against infection. To determine if he has HPV, if you can get him to do it, get some white vinegar and some sterile gauze. Soak them in the vinegar and wrap the penis for about 2 minutes. When you take them off if the bumps have turned white, they are most likely HPV or condyloma. Basically venereal warts. Why are you not using condoms? This would protect you considerably. Good health.

Tell him to take his happy butt to the nearest health department. Depending on his income it could be free or about $15 which is way cheaper than a doctors visit and they will provide him with the medication. Go with him to get yourself checked out as well. Unfortunately, It sounds like herpes and you can't get rid of it but can mostly control the breakouts with the medication. He will need to contact everyone he slept with as is the law regarding STDs. Throw him back honey, he already brought you home something a shot of bleach won't clear up!!! Whenever I changed partners, I would go with them to the health department to be checked for any STDs beore any sexual contact because I am so paranoid. I made the man I married do it to when we first started thinking about sex. I made certain he had not been with anyone else for at least six weeks before the test so anything would show up. Hindsight is only 20/20.

There are numerous bacteria out there, bacteria cause the infection. Proper cleansing can get rid of some. Best to get a culture of the bacteria and find out exactly where they are and how to treat them. If he does have an infection it should be visible at the site. Good luck

It would be easy to test to find out what it is. he needs to go to a clinic and find out. There are free clinics that do this.

There are numerous things that could cause this infection, you are doing the right thing by insisting he be treated before you have sex with him again. These infections could cause you to become unable to have children in the future if left untreated.
