I'd see a doctor anyway... rather than consult the masses on here...

it could be your menopause though.

This could be a symptom of several things including the menopause. You really need to be checked out by your GP.

I went through the menopause without really noticing it, My periods became regular (once every three months) and eventually stopped. I am told that I need two years before I can be certain they have stopped.

This is not typical, however as most of my friends seemed to have problems. Do see your doctor.

It Is More Likely Than Not To Be The Change . .
They Seem Like The Symptoms . .
Go To The Docs . . They Can Tell You For Deff.
But Menapause Normally Happen From The Ages Of 45-55.
Im Sure Its Nothing To Get Worried About Tho

My mom had the same problem with her periods ,
she lost that much blood that she nearly passed out with having low red blood cells.
she had to go on iron tablets, then had a pelvic scan which came back that her womb lining was thick.
she still dont know whats wrong yet and has to have a hormone coil inserted to see if that helps.
My mom is 47 she had a hormone blood test and the doctor has told her from the results that she is not ready for the change.
The doctor has told her that her womb is bulky that they cannot see what is wrong at the moment to do an biopsy.
BUT THAT IS JUST MY MOM YOU MAY JUST BE GOING THROUGH THE CHANGE,SO SEE A DOCTOR.

See a doctor, you might need to get something more done. And it could be the change.
