A UTI isn't just about pills and getting diagnosed. It's about your health. You need something to get you to stop peeing everything out. You go too often, it passes too easily and as quickly as you can get a drink it flushes back out again. It hurts because you need to plug it up. If you can get yourself to stop going so often, you'll find the discomfort subsides.
When I got one, I called a health food store and I asked the manager what I could do. He said to get some fiber into my system to soak it up. I had some bran cereal and I ate a bowl of it. The problem was gone just like that. If you don't have some bran cereal, some Raisin Bran or something like that, get a nice green salad. It will soak up your fluid like a sponge and slow you down. That's just what you want.
I could have suggested a sports drink or some orange juice, something with lots of sodium or potassium, but it's just more fluid, you're just going to flush it right back out. I could have suggested some cranberry juice to prevent infection, but that is just more of the same.
You are going to be very dehydrated from all this, so be prepared to feel terribly thirsty. You need to relax and drink a little at a time. You can always go back and get some more later. You may feel like you could drink the house dry. Please stay calm, this will pass soon enough. Hang in there, it will be all right.
You may not feel your normal self for at least a couple of days now so try and hang in there until the end. Getting hydrated again may leave you feeling like you're coming down off an edgy high. Your digestion may be off. You've flushed out your B vitamins, so you may eat too fast, get full too easily or not feel too hungry at all. You energy may feel like it's just not there so don't push yourself too hard right now.
I hope this helps you.

Yes...its hurts like hell. You can sometimes notice blood if the infection is bad enough. Be sure you see a Doctor to get an antibiotic. Its the only thing that will clear it up. Be sure they test you to be sure its not an an e-coli based infection. Those need a different type of stronger antibiotic....good luck
