in my opinion minipills pop, only progestagen.
Why? well in my care of womens health and my research I have got the conclusion that combined pills are strong and may do severe damage to women; vascular problems and pressure problems, and also cancer.
In my opinion women should never mess with her homornes unless there is a terrible disbalance.

Hormones in women when getting older are strongly dangerous; my mom never took hormones and got a trombosis when she was 46 due to hormones; she es premenopausic.
Older women get a hormonal disbalance and so women between their 40 and 50´s get trombossi more often due to hormones.

In my case I have a terrible history of trombosis and vascular problems by now, I take good care of myself; minipills are not that bad for vascular problems and pressure probems, they´re even for diabetics

If you are lucky to get no diseases due to hormones you may have a terrible menopause due to them.
I quit the pill now, due to all I researched trombosis blood clots, etc.
I think we shouldn´t take any pill and use other methods.
But in my ipinion the best pills are the minipills, less side effects, only bad thing, take them exactlky the same time.

Good luck! ;D

i personally liked mercette which i got through my school health services but they stopped carrying it my second year of college because there was an issue with the manufacturer and i think they stopped making it cuz the prices went from $5 a pack per month to $40 a pack per month so i switched to orthtrycyclin and my skin broke out SO badly i kept switching pills and they all have made me break out so far...mercette was the only one i liked :(

Nuvaring. You constantly absorb the hormones so levels don't spike like when you take a pill.
