Women's Health - October 2007

i've talked to my PCP and a surgeons office and have not gotten much info from them. i was told that insurance companies want to see that the surgery is "medically necessary" but what do they want to see to prove that? what do they want documented? i was asked if i had xrays done-but xrays of what?? what are they trying to see? any info would be appreciated. thanks.

i'm 16 years old(about to be 17)
and on my right breast, towards the inside
there's a place right next to my areola(how ever you spell that)
that looks looks a LITTLE like stretch marks but it's just a really small area and i can't feel them or anything,
but they're not red it's just brown, I didn't know if it was just my breasts growing or what.HELP please!

im on my period i started again today
and tomorrow for weights we have to stretch and do sit ups and push ups and butterfly things what should i trell my coach because i dont think i should do them
and hes a guy he scares me sometimes cuz he looks at me all weird and smiles and today i think he could tell i was wearing a pad or something because i was standing against the wall and he looked at me up and down and smiled at me,

Don't say TMI! I have to ask this question. My mom is mean alot for no reason. I go down there wanting to ask her she says what in a mean voice. But I had blood all over my underwear & in my vagina & brown stuff. So I know I started itt. How do I tell her? & I have hair on my vagina, im emrbassed!

Its not like tooo much just little drops of urine on it.its a pain as I constantly have to change my underpants like 5 to 6 times a day cos of the leakage of urine.sometimes i run out of underpants to wear or there always in the wash.
As you can imagin doing this every single day is so difficult and i don't want to smell of piss.im in my early 20's is that normal or abnormal for my age?Why does this happen and does anyone else get this same problem? i tried using pads so to prevent me to stop changing my pants sooo many times during one day.pls advice...thanks

My husband and I have been TTC our first child for four months now with no success. I know it can take a while to make a child, but I did some research and I'm worried I may have endometrosis.

I do pass some blood clots during my period, usually the entire thing. Sometimes they're large, sometimes not.

I have painful bowel movements at times. Sometimes, I have to stand up during one because it hurts SO bad. This happens during my period sometimes and also when I'm not on it.

Sex isn't painful, neither is peeing during my period. My period is kinda heavy but i do have a beeding disorder that causes my blood to not clot properly. my periods are always regular. what do you think?

What's the average age to start expierencing this? I had a talk about this with my mother and this may be happening to her right now (she's 47). Irregular periods may be a sign (no, she's not preggers).

I have been experiencing severe abdominal pain due to my period. I went to a doctor a few days ago and had a very painful internal exam in which the doctor felt a lump. We did a cat scan and a ultrasound and found no ovarian cysts. I was checked for STDs a few months ago and it came back clean (no new partners since). She thought that maybe I was just having cramps, but three days later I am in a lot more pain which is now shooting down my leg in addition to my abdomen. I have had this pain before with my period, but now it is so intense that I can barely step down on my leg. I have an appointment on Friday, but I was just curious if anyone has experienced anything like this before? I'm so confused since the CT and ultrasound came back clean.

but i did tell the doctor about my monthly period has stop coz im ashamed. I dont feel any diffeent in my body. At that time i dont have any boyfriend.wats wrong w/ me & my other problem is...if i have sex w/ my boyfriend..will i get pregnant eventhough i dont have my monthly period. ok. dont take this wrong cause im asking in the girls section, but i know girls have more experience with shaving in alot of places than guys. Question- how can u remove the hair between your butt [this sounds nasty, but be honest] how can u do it so its all removed, or mostof it is gone, so it doesnt hurt. im 13, so im obviously not going out to get some hair removal surgery. all i basically have that i could use is a razor[shaver] help?

I'm itchy and all like normal yeast infections cause, but I'm also in extreme pain "down there". It's swollen and it hurts just to put medicine on it. Is this normal for a yeast infection? This is my first one ever and I really don't know how to go about treating it with OTC meds.

ive had a cyst on my breast a year this month and dont no what to do because i don't want the doctor to get rid of i because im scared! does it hurt? and are there any otheer ways of getting rid of it?? x thankyou
