Women's Health - October 2007

I started my period three weeks ago, it lasted 6 days and then stopped for a day then picked up and has not stopped. My period has been going on for 14 days now, and shows no signs of stopping tomorrow which is when my first gynecologist appointment is. What should I expect? What are they going to do to me? What could be the cause of such a long period?

I wash everyday and use baby wipes after using the bathroom..but why is it that my rear end still lingers of unplesant scent? I get so self concious that I won't do 69 with my bf. HELP PLEASE!!

i had my first period around august 16, i think...
anyways,
im supposed to have it now

is it normal for someone who has your first period and then miss the next one?
i never had sex
so i dont think im pregnant.

Help! I am in desperate need of a breast reduction and I have the Empire plan (United Healthcare). I have seen a dermatogist, an internist, gotten back xrays, and the obgyn. I have complained and tried to get chart notes and asked for letters of medical necessity faxed to the plastic surgeon. All these doctors do is write on persciption pads and fax them. These are not enough. Or are they? Will i need physical therapy too for proof? Has anyone had the procedure without all this red tape? Any advice????

I kept my socks on. That means I'm still a virgin right? Am I still at my 17th virginity, or do I have to move on to my 18th virginity? I plan on staying a virgin until I'm married and my boyfriend said that this way it doesn't count. Also, is it still considered sex if there is a third person involved?

I am in the process of preparing for a breast reduction and I was wondering if anyone knows how long you should wait after a breast reduction to get pregnant? My husband and I already have a 2.5 yr old and we are planning to ttc in the near future. He's in the military so the soonest opportunity we would have would be December and then not again until August/September 2008. I haven't had a chance to speak with my surgeon about this concern yet, so I was hoping someone here has experienced this. Assuming things go as planned, we would conceive appr. 8-10 weeks post-op. Is that too soon?

I got a secound doc evol because I had a miscarriage d.c. on the 26th of September come to find out I didn't need the d/c because I passed everything on my own according to the hospital reports.I don't know what to do.Has anyone been though this before.
I got the secound doc because I have been hurting every since the surgery and all of my preggo styoms have came back the secound doc took a pea test that was - but,he said that it could be that I am about to start or to early to tell.I am lost any advice would be helpfull

I know that this sounds pretty ridiculous and dumb. But I am very paranoid. On September 3 I took the morning after pill because my BF & I were making out pretty hot and heavy with clothes on, but there was a wet spot on me…so just to be safe than sorry I told the morning after pill and 6 days later had a period and started birth control on the 9th of September.

I took the birth control everyday at noon and on the 25th of September my BF and I were making out in bathing suits, and my BF had sperm go down his leg (that’s what he told me). So as soon as it happened, he got up and I changed out of my bathing suit immediately.

I just had a period that started last Tuesday and ended when I started my new pack of pills on Sunday.

We have NEVER had sex…do you think that there is anyway that I could be pregnant? I took a test this morning just to make sure and it was negative. It has been two weeks since this has happened. I just need some advice and have no one that I can turn to. I know it sounds dumb but I am just nervous and yes I know that we should not be messing around. Thanks for the answers.

Hey, I had an accident when I was younger and now one of my breasts are larger than the other, id say 1-2 cup sizes difference. Im pretty sure my insurance would cover it but im scared to have an operation.
has anyone had a similar experiance?

Will they look and feel the same? (like one obviously has an implant, the other doesnt?)

Is an implant better than reduction? (one is like a b, other is a d)

What kind of implants (silicone,etc)

What does it feel like afterwards, how long to heal..

How do I know a good doctor from a bad one, or where to look up good doctors, or how can i choose one? My insurance doesnt cover many.

Ok. Please only people who know this answer, answer this question! I am on the birth control pill Yasmin. I was on antibiotics for a sinus infection which decreased the effectiveness of my birth control. I started the antiobiotics probably sometime in the last hormone week of the pills. I have had my period, gone through a whole other pill pack, had my period again. Is it safe to have unprotected sex now? I have gone through a month's worth of pills.. I think it is ok but I want to make sure!
