Every women and girls do get a period. I disagree with your mom told you. Best thing to talk your family members as well than your mom., they'll tell you about period. And there is nothing do with foods. But medicine possible will work, but you need talk your doctor about why you never get a period. If you have any medicine reasons. Your doctor will give you advice.

IF what you said is true, your mother is wrong. But I suspect that maybe you misunderstood her. Is it possible she said that not everyone YOUR AGE gets their period? You don't say your age, but not every girl gets her period at the same age. And while there are certain hormones that can stimulate the onset of menses, it is only done when there is a medical condition that warrants it...not just that you desire it to be so. Let Nature take its course in its own time.

If you are ovulating, you will get your period. Period. Unless you don't, then you will not and are most likely unable to have children without fertility treatment to intervene. 99% of females get their monthly cycle. Another thing, you shouldn't want to have your cycle just because everyone else has it. You should want it just to make sure your body is functioning normally. Just a fair warning though, once you start your period, you can get pregnant. I hope this helps:)

Generally ever girl gets their period but when they get is a different story. I didn't have my period until I was 17 and even then I had to be placed on birthcontrol pills to start it.
My case is different, my body does not ovulate normally.
If you are worried about this talk to you doctor, he or she can prescribe you something that will help you along.

NO thats not true- every girl DOES get her period unless you have a certain medical issue . If you have a specified reason for your doctor, she (doctor) can put you on the pill to help get your period started if its necessary, so talk to your doctor and theyll do everything they can to help you get it, BUT IF YOUR NOT OVER 16 STOP WORRYING cuz the more you stress about it then the longer itll take to happen.
i was the same way so anxious but serisuly theres nothing to be anxious about cuz itll come trust me

EVERY female gets their period. It happens after you ovulate and then don't get pregnant and then the inside of your uterus sheds. There is no 'magic' food or medicine to make this happen. Didn't you take sex ed or a health class in school to learn about this?

All girls get their periods --- unless there is a medical problem.
If I were you, I wouldn't be in such a hurry to get it. Once you have yours, you're going ot hate it like the rest of us. :) Enjoy not having it while you can.
Everyone starts theirs at different times. I started mine at 12, my best friend in high school didn't start hers until she was 16. Bodies develope at different times. You can't bring on your period earlier by eating something.

my mom told me that once too, but she was just joking. im 13 and i really hate how all these people are saying that its not a big deal and you shouldnt be worrying about this. it does suck waiting for it, and its ok to want to have it just because everyone else does. everyone i know had it before me. and if she says that again, that you might not get it, tell her to shut up.
