An adult friend of mine told me that it was a proven fact that your period stops when you get in water. (like, swimming) She said she has swam before without a tampon while on her period and it stopped. But I've been told that the only way you can get in a pool when your on your period is to wear a tampon or you'll bleed in the pool. So is my friend mistaken or is it true?

im on my period again for the 3rd time in one month.its on in the am off at night.im on bcp and iv nv had this problem before with them.i dont know if i need to go to a dr or what i can do to stop this from going on again.i realy need help.has any one had this problem before with lorestine 24 ?

i know that is a wierd question, but there is so many things agaisnt the bible i don't understand.

like my mom thinks it's wrong because tampons go up there and the only thing up there should be a "man".

i use them anyway without her knowing, but is it really a sin?

man there is so many rules to follow!

I'm only 25 and I heard that if you start your period on early age that you menopause early too, I started mine at the age 10... I've been feeling very moody for the past 3-4 months, my period every month is just very unpredictable, there are months that are very heavy that would last up to a week and a half and there were a few months that I would skip for the whole month, I'm really worried because I'm not trying to have any kids any time soon and if I am menopausing this early that I would like to know so I can start planning having more kids. Can a doctor be able to tell me when I'll start menopausing by running test or something???

I'm 14 and a half. I got my period when I was 12, and at the time I didn't even wear a bra. Puberty came and went for me, I'm almost 5'8. I barely even fill out an A cup!! I'm going into my freshman year of high school, and I'm gonna have the smallest boobs in the school I bet! Will they stay this way forever? Am I done growing? My mom is a B, my grandma's a B, but my aunt is a DD and my cousin (who is 18) is too! I'm so annoyed!!

about a 2yrs ago i got a depo-provera shot....they didnt really inform me of the sideaffects..only that you shouldnt smoke and you period may not come for a couple of month. everything was fine for about 6months when i started to notice that my hair was thinning i gained weight and i started growing facial hair especially around my chin and lower neck!!!! i am very depressed i recently went to the doctor and they told me that i have little balls of blood in my ovaries and that they may burst!! the doctor prescribed me some hormone pills and told me that after i drink the last pill the next day my period should come...but it hasnt..im scared and i keep getting pains around my ovaries but i cannot go to the doc until my insurance comes through!!! what do you think it might be??? im very scared has anyone gone through this problem??

I Just started taking birth control about a week ago and I took one pill like 30 hours apart instead of 24 and now I am bleeding VERY heavily. I have been like this for almost 2 days now and it's making me really worried I'm not due to start my period for another 2 weeks. I haven't had sex in over a month either. I stopped taking the pill yesterday but it hasnt let up at all. I don't know if I should go to the doctor, stop taking them all together or take a few pills at once. Does anyone know how to make it stop or get lighter? please help!

Hi, im already 18 years old and i haven't had my period since birth! Is there something wrong with me? I already went to the OB gyne and they took tests on me including the ultra sound, but they said that i had imbalanced hormones. My mom wants me to go to the OB again because she's getting worried about me, But i don't want to go back because i'm afraid. Isn't there any other way to check this? And i heard rumors that if you don't get your period until you're 20 years old you'll probably die. Is that true? HELP ME PLEASE =(

im only a 14yr old girl and 160cm (5'3") tall. My dream in life is to grow 10cm (4"), it doesn't have to be straight away but i wish my adult height is 170cm (5'7")

my mum, sister and grandma's are 140cm (4'9") up to 158cm (5'1" or 2") and my aunty is 172cm (5'7" or 8")

all the males in my family are 170cm+ (5'7"+)
but my dad is 165cm (5'5")

i am only 14 and 10cm is not a lot at all, it isn't even the length of a pencil !!! or do you think i just wont make it??

i am very healthy and drink milk and exercise... i have only had my period for nearly a year (even though i had it only 6 times!)
it is starting to be regular now.

and just to let you know, i do have my reasons for wanting to grow taller and why it is my dream in life, so please don't ask why.

I just delivered my second baby boy Sunday. I had an emergency c-section due to preeclampsia. I am now home from the hospital & my legs are several times more swollen than they were when I wen to the hospital! It is painful, I can barely bend my legs or walk. Doctor says this is normal & discharged me. He tells me to "walk" & it will get better. Ironically, I was on bedrest before giving birth & was told to keep my feet up because of the swelling. I don't get it. I have done both, nether of which has helped. They didn't give me any water pills in the hospital because my potassium was very low. They gave me a ton of fluids including potassium & magnesium sulfate. I'm now apparently retaining more because of this. I don't know how to get rid of it! Please, I can't stand it anymore..
