About the only thing that could remotely be considered healthy that would have any influence on this is weight. The accumulation of subcutaneous (just below the skin) fat seems to be a trigger for many of the processes of puberty.

What that means is that if you are severely overweight, getting back down to a healthy weight might delay the onset of your first period. But if you're already healthy, losing even more weight probably won't do anything.

haha...no there is no way.. i've tried.

let your period come and see how it goes. for the first 1 - 2 years, you'll skip some periods likely. it's usually lighter and shorter at first.

if you get into your period later and it's unbearable (heavy, long), see a doctor.

NO - DO NOT EVEN TRY!!!!

Trying to stop the onset of periods is meddling with the very basic functions of your body. It could have very far reaching consequences. It could harm you, lead to infertility problems and worse lead to a significant risk of life threatening complications later in life!!!

What this question shows is that you lack information and assurances on something that is fundamental to females and about to happen to you. If your parents cannot help you with this then seek help from the doctor, or an older female.

Please what ever happens do not try!!!
