I Just started taking birth control about a week ago and I took one pill like 30 hours apart instead of 24 and now I am bleeding VERY heavily. I have been like this for almost 2 days now and it's making me really worried I'm not due to start my period for another 2 weeks. I haven't had sex in over a month either. I stopped taking the pill yesterday but it hasnt let up at all. I don't know if I should go to the doctor, stop taking them all together or take a few pills at once. Does anyone know how to make it stop or get lighter? please help!

It's not going to make a difference if you're a little off in taking your pill- 30 doesn't seem unreasonable. And it's normal for your cycles to be off when you start on the pill- it messes with your hormones and natural body rhythm. But if you are concerned, I'd call your doctor. There's nothing to lose.

You def don't need to take a few pills at once. I started my bc on a monday and I had to take more then 1 pill within 24 hrs and it made me so sick!!!! Don't stop taking your pill as well, but if your really upset about it call your doctor.

usually, it's advised to take the next "forgotten" pill AS SOON AS you remember to take it. There maybe another internal/hormonal problem so better go to a gynecologist.

Call the doctor and let them know what is going on and get their advice.
