im only a 14yr old girl and 160cm (5'3") tall. My dream in life is to grow 10cm (4"), it doesn't have to be straight away but i wish my adult height is 170cm (5'7")

my mum, sister and grandma's are 140cm (4'9") up to 158cm (5'1" or 2") and my aunty is 172cm (5'7" or 8")

all the males in my family are 170cm+ (5'7"+)
but my dad is 165cm (5'5")

i am only 14 and 10cm is not a lot at all, it isn't even the length of a pencil !!! or do you think i just wont make it??

i am very healthy and drink milk and exercise... i have only had my period for nearly a year (even though i had it only 6 times!)
it is starting to be regular now.

and just to let you know, i do have my reasons for wanting to grow taller and why it is my dream in life, so please don't ask why.

thankyou and please dont be rude.

sorry, but i don't think u can grow 10 cm in 5-7 years, because ur puberty is almost over, and when puberty is over u won't grow any more,

u will stop growing when u are 16, so is about 2 years time,

it is impossible to grow 170, because ur height must be the same as ur mom or dad, so if ur dad is 165 cm,

i think u'll be about 162cm/ 163 cm, when u grow up, because 2 years time u can grow 2 /3 cm tall

and ur taller than ur mom, sister and grandma

girls stop growing when they are 16,

boys stop growing when they are 18

Think about it. You are already taller than your mum sister and grandma, so that is not taken into account. Your genes are more likely from your male side. Remember - Genes like skipping generations - good for you bad for ya parents!

For example my father, brother and mother are short - but i'm around the 5'10'' - 5'11'' mark at 14.

Also you are only in the middle of puberty (unstead of starting at 10 and about to finish - nothing freaky here). Asuming you stop growing at 18 (most people stop around there) i would expect you to grow to 175+cm.

Your only worry should being a bit taller than your ideal hight - not shorter.

Honey, instead of guessing or collecting opinions, try to avail the maximum from the remaining period you are going to grow. Good healthy diet, exercises already you are focussing on. Add some vitamin+ mineral supplements. I dunno what exercises u r doing, go for biking, swimming, hanging on single bar& Yoga, particurly Tadasana will be good for you.
All that might help you gaining more than 10 cms, as some girls keep gaining height in twenties even!
All the best so yr dream comes true!

It's certainly possible, but height is governed by genes, so there is nothing you can do but wait and see. It's good that you are already focusing on good health, whatever height you end up at.
