Tampons: Well I am now on my period and fed up with pad. I have kind of just avoided them since I got my period about 2 years ago. So my question is: Are tampons better than pads? And are the hard to put in? And also do the protect me from leakege more than pads? Any advice or opinion would be great! :)

Is it possible that you would be advised not to take the Pill under certain circumstances? Apart from personal preference, effectiveness, etc... just medical reasons why it would not be suitable?

I would really appreciate your advice on this, as my Partner is insistant any female (of suitable age) can take it, and there is no medical reason that you would be advised not to go on the Pill. I do not think he is correct, but would like clarification.

I would really appreciate your help to resolve this dispute please!

I usually start my mentral period around this time every month. My nipples are sore and i had sex on the 12th and only pre- *** got in me cause the condom busted, could i be pregnant? Are is it that im more sexual active than before so it backed up my mentral cycle?

like i had with my b/f. I have a annular, or circumferential hymen. It forms a ring around the vaginal opening. I can barely get my finger in (this isnt to be perv or anything just explaining). The first time I have sex i dont even know how it will break because it has an opening in the middle of it (for menstrual etc). So how will the penis go in? Also, can it be attached to the clitoris? When i feel mine with my hand while i lay on my back it feels like the top part is connected to my clitoris, is this possible? It feels very hard so im kind of worried. thanks.

If I'm pregnant will I necessarily miss this months period? like if I had sex say on the 16th and my period is due the next week or if it's that soon after, would I not miss my period until the next one is due? I've always been a little confused....And before you lecture.....We had unprotected sex yes but I am in a long term comitted relationship and being pregnant wouldn't be a bad thing....I just want to know what to expect

Hello. I am a 22 year-old woman who has never been pregnant. My mother is a breast cancer survivor. She had a localized, non-metastasizing, non-recurring tumor and was 35 at diagnosis.

I am currently started my period. Normally my breasts do get slightly swollen and tender for the week before my period starts; however, my breasts are larger than they normally get and have a deep ache. My nipples aren't really erect like they would be and sometimes feel a small film of stickiness. And today, I just noticed a small, small red spot next to my nipple. There's no "orange" characteristics to either breast.

What should I do? I don't have insurance since I'm no longer in school and therefore no longer a ward of my parents and covered under them. I just started a new job, so I'm not eligible for coverage. Should I just move to Canada? (sorry, lame attempt at humor)

What should I look out for? How long should I wait to see someone? And how in the world would I see someone without insurance?

I've been in a committed relationship for almost eight years--I'm in my late 30s--and I also sometimes have trouble getting wet. While I enjoy sex, I'm not desperate for it. So, is this a symptom of age, of needing a shot of SOMETHING in my relationship, or what? It could also be that my boyfriend prefers sex in the morning.

Ok, no perverted results. This is a real problem and I don't want creepsters being...well, creeps. I recently got my period for the first time. For about a year before that, I've had vaginal discharge. It's not foul smelling or oddly colored, it's just there. Now, when I got my period, there was still discharge in the blood. Okay i am going to the docter in a week to get two shots and a check up, but when i was there i was going to ask my docter if i could be put on birth control (stricly for regulateing my periods, and making them shorter NOT for sex) but ussally they give you pap smears to be put on bc, but i will be on my period during the time i go to the docter so is still going to be able to prescribe me bc?

Just to let you know im 16 almost 17.

why do you think the doc would schedule my wife for sonogram? she has gain a lil weight and and its unknown why, and also her last period was July 5 but its a week before shes having her period and she is having a lot of cramps.. what do you think shes gunna get sonogram? can it be other than pregnancy?has anyone been checked with other reasons?

So I have been taking these pills for 2 months now and I had my period regular after the first pack. Now since on the 2nd pack I now have this brown/red discharge only when I wipe and I thought it would be my period since the next day there was a little blood but nothing to get all excited about. Plus this is happening a whole week and a half before I am suppose to have my period. Does this mean that I am pregnant or is it just something that happens while on yasmin BC?

I went to a gyn for my yrly and she had thyroid labs done on me. (My 2 sisters have hypothyroidism). My labs - T3, T4, and FSH are all fine! But my TSH-thyroid stimulating hormone is 11.19, with normal range= .5-5.50, so mine is high. My thyroid peridoxase antibodies is 221, with the normal being less than 35, so it too is high. This supposedly indicates I have hoshimoto's? Hypothyroidism? I am 53, going thru menopause also. Could menopause be causing this? My insurance is horrible and I can't really afford to go to Dr if don't need to. MY QUES is: Do these 2 levels that are hi MEAN that I do have hypo? I can't tell if I have a little goiter going on or not. I do not understand how my T3 + T4 is normal if I do indeed have thyroid. And if I do have to go to Dr, I do not want to return to a gyn Dr who is NOT specialized in this area. So, should I go to an Ears, nose and throat specialist or a Endrocrinologist? Please ONLY advise if you KNOW about these things, no guessing.
