birth control. Nothing is 100% reliable. The pill is probably most reliable at close to 99%. There are condoms which you should use anyway for health precautions, every time unless you are settled with a partner for life who has no disease, and you have no disease. There are more. Go to the local Health Department or to a Gynecologist to learn about which is best for you.

I have used several types of pills, depo-provera (the shot)(really bad weight gain), ortho evra (the patch), and now nuva ring, which I LOVE!!! They all work in the same general way, by making your body think it is alreay pregnant and keeps if from ovulating, but they have different chemicals and different side effects. Your best resourse would be your local family planning or planned parenthood office.

I have been using birth control for 7 years...and not become pregnant, but you have to be responsible about taking it.

There are many, many forms of birth control out right now. It sounds like you need to be talking to a professional.

Try calling your county health department! It's really important that you get really accurate information when you're dealing with something that could impact your life so severely.

Good Luck!!

Yeah i guess TEM is right. I know that there are birth control pills that women take and of course condoms should be used but even then you are still taking some kind of risk >>

Read this site :
http://www.fda.gov/fdac/features/1997/babytabl.html
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/birthcontrol.html
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birth_control
www.metrokc.gov/health/famplan/birthcontrol

I don't trust women contraception, too much side effect, but read that site first, and make your own descision.
