So I have been taking these pills for 2 months now and I had my period regular after the first pack. Now since on the 2nd pack I now have this brown/red discharge only when I wipe and I thought it would be my period since the next day there was a little blood but nothing to get all excited about. Plus this is happening a whole week and a half before I am suppose to have my period. Does this mean that I am pregnant or is it just something that happens while on yasmin BC?

It's most likely "spotting" or "breakthrough bleeding." I was recently taking Yasmin, and I just suffered through a month of spotting with cramps the whole time. I saw my doctor today and she gave me a different pill. Some spotting is normal, but if it continues you may want to see your doctor, because every one reacts differently to different birth control pills.

A LOT OF TIMES WHEN YOU START OR SWITCH TO NEW BIRTH CONTROL PILL. FOR SEVERAL MONTHS YOU COULD HAVE , WHAT IS CALLED BREAK THROUGH BLEEDING. AND WITH THE COLOR YOU ARE DESCRIBING IT IS OLD BLOOD, AND NOTHING TO BE ALARM ABOUT. IF THIS CONTINUES ON FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS GO BACK TO YOU DOCTOR. HE WILL PROBABLY SUBSCRIBE YOU A STRONGER DOSE OR BRAND. SOME PEOPLE NEED STRONGER DOSES THEN OTHERS. P.S. ALWAYS USE PROTECTION AS A RULE. BUT REMEMBER ALSO IT TAKES SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE THE BIRTH CONTROL PILL REALLY WORKS AND YOU CAN BECOME PREGNANT IN THAT TIME.

The nurse is right, it is common to have breakthrough bleeding when on bc. I was put on Yasmin and it caused me to have really bad occular migranes (headaches that caused me to lose my vision for an hour at a time). I talked to my gyno about this and she switched my prescription. This might be an option for you if it continues to be a problem or something you want to change.

i don't be attentive to with regards to the pill being the reason yet...if the release has an smell you're able to have a bacterial an infection,,, std?/// there is in many cases greater indicators with that project
