tell her to increase her soy intake. also adding 40g of ground flaxseed toher daily diet will help. soy and flax are phytoestrogens which are plant versions of estrogen. because her hormones are off the wall and imbalanced during her menopause stage of life these phytoestrogens will help balance them back out and act as if they were real estrogens like the kind our bodies make.

I just read something in Dr. Gott's column today where someone recommended eating a few slices of crytallized ginger every day for hot flashes. What works for me is at least 30 minutes a day of high impact cardio exercise that makes me sweat. The other benefit of this is it keeps my weight down. My sister swears by soybeans.

Yes there is something that can help but she would not be interested in it. But for curiosity's sake it is an herbal supplement with herbs from the Amazon rainforest called Sumacazon.
It nourishes the endocrine system glands that deal with aging. It helps a woman go thru a smooth transition from a woman who nourishes babies to a woman who helps society like many post-menopausal women have.

My doctor told me to take 40mg. of Black Cohosh. It does help. Many remedies out there contain lots of ingredients, but also contain 40mg of Black Cohosh. Some contain lots of vitamins, which is good overall, but if you take a multivitamin you don't need these. You can order Black Cohosh from Puritans Pride or try your local vitamin store. Have never heard of soy being of any help.

Drink soy milk and include soy products in her diet. I understand that flaxseed is also helpful.
