Women's Health - June 2007

They were done only a few weeks ago so they will close fairly quick if taken out. I can't remove them myself because I don't have the tool required to allow the captive bead to drop out. My gut tells me the radiologist might give me grief but I don't see any real physical reason they would be a problem. Anyone have any experience with this?

My daughter suffers from moderate acne. Would taking the Depo shot excerbate the problem? May it improve her acne symptoms?
I would love to hear from anyone who has used this form of birth control.

Im not on the pill, but i have an event coming up this weekend, Sat 23rd. And I cant get on this other pill because i guess someone said im too far along on my mestration cycle that I caould have it anytime. What can i do? Take the birth controll pill before my period?

I am 13 and got my period 7 months ago. Summer is coming and I want to go swimming. I know you cant swim with pads but are there anything else that i can use. Tampons hurt when i try t put them in. Can you recomend any ways to get them in without alot of pain.

i'm 14 and just got my 1st period in march and i can't put tampons in w/o it hurting like crazy! the only way i can get it in is by coating it with like this vaseline stuff so it will glide in. is that stuff bad for your vigina? i cant do it any other way cuz it feels so dry and it gets stuck and it hurts soooo bad! is that just because nothings been up there before and it is tight? please help because that also means i can't change them in public places cuz i don't have that vaseline stuff with me... so i have to carefully plan when i use them and stuff......aaaaaaaaaah well thank you!

Hi! A few months ago I went off of the Pill becuase of the crazy side effects I was having, especially with my moods! I'm married but we would like to not have kids for a few more years. We have been using a condom for protection. Well today my doctor suggested Yaz, I don't know if I want to go back on the pill I was on it for 7 years and really never felt myself. I was using Alesse for 4 years and seasonale for 3. Who has used Yaz and how do you feel about it? Thanks!!

I havn't had my period for more than 4 months now....i know for a fact that i am NOT pregnant....i thought it might have been stress or something to do with weight....i did take a diet pill (hydroxycut) irregularly for less than a month...but i stopped...now its been over 4 months and i still havnt had my period...i really don't want to go see the doctor...what should i do?

that causes extreme pain during sex? and you can't get anything up there not even the smallest tampon and even if you are successful it is extremely painful? Whether you have delayed puberty(and over the age of 20) or not?

call my gynocologist about tips on using these dilators for vaginismus?(he recommended using a candle but I don't use candles I bought the dilators on vaginismus.com), and see if it's supposed to hurt or put enough pressure far enough it won't hurt? If he won't help me should I get a new gyno? Suggestions? I know most of you have no clue about this.

ok I'm 19... no known medical conditions, I do not take any medication of any sort, but, i have 16 "lumps" in my breasts 8 in each. I've had two ultrasounds so far and on this past u/s a new one was found and some ones that were present before seem to have gotten bigger. the doctor says it's likely fibroadenoma and they all appear to be benign and at this point does not want to biopsy any of them, but instead watch them for another year. While I trust the doctors my concern is that some of them are getting bigger and more are coming up. Should I get a second opinion or just wait it out? These tests were done at the breast diagnostic center so I'm really not sure where else I could get a second opinion if needed.

If I sleep 9+ hours a night and I want to wear a tampon to bed (because I hate wearing pads because it feels like I'm wetting myself) do you think it would be okay to use super plus?? i doulbt it would leak but i'm worried about TSS? I have heard of the two methods - either start taking them within the first 24 hours of your period or start the first Sunday after your period. Which is better? Does it really make a difference what day I start taking them?

I recently changed from the evra patch to the depo injection.. as i found that the patch wasnt very convenient and rather icky looking!
anyways i might well have changed it a bit late on my last week and had sex a few days later, my BF withdrew but i know this doesnt stop any little guys getting through..
My period came, allbeit a few days late (normally like clockwork!)
So a week later after my patch free week i went on the depo jag, i fainted immediately after it (im a bit of a fainter but havent done so in 10 years!)
and this week iv been feeling really faint/light headed, not just when i stand up but sitting. been getting really hot and my breast have started to hurt, iv never experienced breast tenderness before so thats a new one for me!
anyways has anyone experienced any symptoms like this coming off the patch, or starting depo?
or should i take a pee on the stick test...??

Ok I want to do a breast reduction I have severe back pain including headache due to my large breast. But my insurance wants me to take other alternatives but I am sure that only a breast reduction can fix my problem. What can I do?
