I recently changed from the evra patch to the depo injection.. as i found that the patch wasnt very convenient and rather icky looking!
anyways i might well have changed it a bit late on my last week and had sex a few days later, my BF withdrew but i know this doesnt stop any little guys getting through..
My period came, allbeit a few days late (normally like clockwork!)
So a week later after my patch free week i went on the depo jag, i fainted immediately after it (im a bit of a fainter but havent done so in 10 years!)
and this week iv been feeling really faint/light headed, not just when i stand up but sitting. been getting really hot and my breast have started to hurt, iv never experienced breast tenderness before so thats a new one for me!
anyways has anyone experienced any symptoms like this coming off the patch, or starting depo?
or should i take a pee on the stick test...??

all mature answers appreciated!

I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure. I got pregnant on the Evra patch and was using it right. Apparently you aren't supposed to put it on your butt because it doesn't work as well. So now I have a beautiful 16 month old daughter. I have been on the shot since I stopped breastfeeding, and found that it makes your gain weight for real! I'm getting off of it this month and getting an IUD. I too faint easily (blood sugar problems and low blood pressure) but never experienced anything like that from the shot. (Was on it a few years ago too) One thing I know from the shot is that it depletes calcium from your body, so if you don't drink enough milk or dairy you will develop osteoporosis. You can only stay on the shot for a max of 2 years because of that also. Be safe and do a pregnancy test, if it's negative, switch to a different birth control. :)

Personally I'd get off of depo, its poison in women's bodies. Class action lawsuits have been filed against Pfizer for what it does to them.

In my four years on depo I haven't felt those side affects, so it may just be coming off the patch and onto depo.
