I was 20 and glad i waited. Be sure you are in a loving, commited relationship if you do it before you are married. it did not hurt for me. we had sex again , yes. maybe.. a few weeks later.

I was 17. It didn't hurt, really.
We went to a nice hotel and quickly got naked, then I stretched out on the bed and we did it.
We did it again within a couple of days.

17 - it wasnt that bad, and only gets better.
If considering it make sure your in a loving relationship.
