So the time is coming now that I'm about to get married and eventually want kids. My question is how quick would i need to get off of the shot to become pregnant? I have been on it for about a 1 year1/2. And how easy could you get pregnant still being on it?

I'd say get off the shot now, perhaps go on Kariva or some other pill until you get your periods back.

I've heard horrors of depo and conceiving. I was on depo for four years and have had horrible side affects and have also heard that some women need to go to a fertility specialist because of their difficulty conceiving after the shot. Then again some have gotten pregnant right off of the shot. I hope you are one of those women.

And you can get pregnant on it, I also know someone who has.

I've been off depo for about a year and a half and on Kariva that time. Life is much better.
