During the first day of my menstrual period I experience severe cramps in my abdomen that range from a constant dull ache to intense sharp pains. I also have a frequent feeling of nausea when I get up. It is worse during the morning and evening hours which I attribute to being less active during these times. Exercise works to relieve cramps but only really succeeds in changing the position of the pain to a more livable lower back ache. I've tried Midol, Tylonel, and Ibuprofin but nothing works this first day. Terrible cramps really only effect me the first day of the cycle and then the remainder of the week Midol will take care of anything.

I aslo notice heightened senses during this time. Smell, taste, touch, all seem magnified to me during the beginning of my period. (Does that happen to anyone else?)

Is there anything else I can do besides exercise and heating pads that can help me. I've heard changing diets certian ways can prevent cramping. Anyone know anything about this?

Has anyone had headaches that are related to the depo contraceptive injection? I suffer alot with headaches and can't put it down to anything. I have read that it could be a side effect from the depo, just wondered if anyone else had this problem?

I came of Depo-vera (Pill Injection) at the end of June this year...i had been on it for 6 years.

Does anyone know how long it takes for this stuff to come out of my system and for my periods to come back.

Me and my husband are thinking of starting a family but we dont want to do it to soon as i have heard that if you do you could miscarry.

Any ideas?

i have this really disturbing back pain, it feels like i am literally carrying the whole world on my shoulders, it feels like carrying a heavy backpack. my mom tried using a massager to "melt" away those stiff muscles, it would feel better for a while, but come back the next day.

i never realized, i've been having this kind of back/shoulder pain for years already. i cannot even remember what it feels like not to have a stiff shoulder.

any recommendations? my mom and sister points out that i always rotate my shoulders (i don't even know im doing it -- i guessi do it subconsciously). how do i make the pain go away?

Is it possible to take too many vitamins? If so, is it harmful?
I am currently taking a once daily woman's vitamin, a prenatal vitamin, and a seperate Vitamin C. I have been working alot and am trying to boost my immune system so I don't get sick. Is this just overkill? Let me know if you need more information...

I'm 19 years old and I weigh 130 lb and I'm 5'7. I feel really gross because my sister is 21, shes weighs 110 and is also 5'7. She has recently lost a lot of weight (went from 160lb to 110 in 2 months) so now I feel really overweight. Is 130 normal or should I lose weight?

Hi im a 22 year old girl and im desperate for a baby. Thing is i think i could be infertile. Ive been trying on and off for like 4 years and im still not pregnant. My doctor has done no tests but thinks i must be able to become pregnant because my periods are regular. The only thing i can think of is shortly after i begun my periods for the first time they were really heavy and really painfull but i kinda thought that was fairly normal. Does anyone know of any tests that can be done to check fertility rates?

I have had my period for 9 days now and it usually lasts about 5 or 6 days. I had not taken a vitamin in a while. Once I started taking the vitamin, the flow got noticably less and I think it has stopped. My mother thinks I am anemic. So could an iron defiency be causing my prolonged period?

I see this all the time especially at restaurants. It is disgusting. You mean to tell me your going to go to the bathroom, grab that dirty door handle and then go eat?

Call me OCD but I like being clean. I ALWAYS Wash my hands whether I'm at home or in a restaurant. And when I leave the restroom at the restaurant I make sure I have that paper towel with me to grab that handle.

I guess that's why I never get sick. It's August and I haven't had a cold yet this year (knock wood).

I am a 37 year old with a strange feeling i can't describe well, over the years, back to when i was a teenager. but more often now days as i get older. i have recently noticed it happens more around my period, i never noticed before because it was so few and far between these episodes. anyway, it's like a reminiscent feeling, strong, comes on slowly, i feel little confused and faint, but only did ONCE, and it passes in like a minute or so. i usually lay my head down and dont' wanna talk. but i am completely coherent, sp?) about what is going on around me, just feel really sublime and peaceful after wards. tired but it doesn't feel like panic, maybe anxiety? i have had problems with nerves for long time, am currently on zoloft, i have been checked out, discussed this with a few dr's. all of which think it's panic attacks. i thought those lasted a while and felt scarey?? this isn't really scarey, just almost like de javu

I have been trying to concieve for 3 months, I just recently got a yeast infection, I am treating it with Miconazole Nitrate Cream, my period is 2 days late, I have taken 2 tests, both negative, I am feeling nausious. Do you think that cream could be altering the pregnancy tests?
