You don't really think that women stop bathing for 5-7 days every month do you??
Of course you can take a shower or bath when you have your period. And no, you don't stop bleeding just because you are in the shower or bathtub.

Yes you can take a shower or bath during this time but unfortunately, it doesn't stop the menstrual flow. The water not only dissipates it but you feel much better and cleaner too. You only have to wait for your period to be over because you have no choice... then the bleeding will stop!

you most definately should be taking showers or baths especially during periods. with a shower you wont stop bleeding. with a bath you'll slow or stop bleeding temporarily while in tub because the pressure of the water keeps the blood inside. you will start again pretty much as soon as you stand up to dry off though,so be aware of that when drying that area.

Come on now, do you want to smell? Of course you "should" bathe while on your period ESPECIALLY while you are on your period. Actually, you should be bathing every single day. The bleeding may stop for a few minutes after your shower but don't celebrate too quickly because it will pick up where it left off..period! LOL

Yes, you should take a shower & or bath when you have your period just as you should on any other day. I personally have seperate towels, washclothes, etc for those days seperate from other days.
No, your period does not stop when you shower or bath. Which is why you should ALWAYS spray some type of shower cleaner in the bathtub/shower afterwards and clean it to make sure it's clean and sanitized.
Personally I find that having a nice bubble bath when I'm on my mensus helps to naturally soothe the cramps (I don't believe in taking med's unless absolutely necessary).
Don't get in a hot tub or swimming pool while your on your period because that's just so unsanitary.
I've heard people to say that they use tampons when they get in a hot tub or swimming pool so that they don't "taint" the water. But in my opinion, that's still unsanitary.
...which is why my kids aren't allowed in public pools, but...that's just my decision.
Blessings To You & Yours

Yes, you can take a shower when you have your period. It does stop when you are in the shower because of the water. But don't stay there extremely long because it will come back. Once you get out of the shower it will also take a second or a couple of minutes to come right back.

Of course. It doesn't actually stop the flow, but being in water can slow it down. If you were in a swimming pool, rather than a tub or shower, you would still need a tampon. But for showers and tubs, you can certainly take them as you would normally.

I hope your at least 13 to ask that question. There would be a lot of dirty women out there if we couldn't bath. Keeping clean while having your period if very important.
