Has anyone had headaches that are related to the depo contraceptive injection? I suffer alot with headaches and can't put it down to anything. I have read that it could be a side effect from the depo, just wondered if anyone else had this problem?

I am taking the Depo injection as well, but I have not experienced any headaches, and let me tell you I have been on at least 12 other Birth Control Pills and none of them worked for me, and it seemed like any and every side affect I could have I had it. (of course they were considered minor) although it didn't feel that way., But anyhow I am shocked that so far I have not have any problems, do you think that its possible for your headaches to be from something else? I had asked a question on here about Depo too, and most women responded by saying they gained an excessive amount of weight, that was the major side effect, I have not gained any weight either.

The depo shot be leave it or not is the WORST thing you can do for endo. for anything as that fact! I used the depo shot for 4 years to help with my pcod. I didn't know until I saw a specialist that it was the worst method of birth control know en to woman kind on top of the side effects that you mentioned I sky rocketed from 135lbs to 237 lbs! outch. I suggest that you find a specialist in your area and GO ASAP!!!!!!! As a result of the depo shot and finding out that I DONT have pcod I am still unable to have children 4 years later :( because it messed my body up so bad!

How long have you been on Depo? I was on Depo for almost 5 years and that was one of the many problems that it caused. Just try not to stay on it as long as I did. I did not get my period back for almost a year AFTER I stopped Depo. But make sure you tell your doctor.

YES! i was on depo for 5 years and it was awful. soo many side effects. they are trying to take it off the market now. i got headaches, ovarian cysts, depression and major mood swings from it. i went on the pill and have been on it for about 7 years and my cysts shrank to almost nothing and my mood swings are gone. you might want to look into something else.

I got off of Depo about 6 months after I started it. I got migraines, horrible moods swings, and loss of libido. I don't recommend Depo at ALL.

Not while I was on it no. I get them now though. It's an emotional rollercoaster coming off the flipping thing though.
