Is it possible to take too many vitamins? If so, is it harmful?
I am currently taking a once daily woman's vitamin, a prenatal vitamin, and a seperate Vitamin C. I have been working alot and am trying to boost my immune system so I don't get sick. Is this just overkill? Let me know if you need more information...

I am not pregnant - the prenatal tends to be the most complete vitamin.

your body can only absorb certain amounts of each vitamin per day, so if you are taking more than that you are wasting your time, its coming out in your urine. And yes , high levels of certain vitamins can be toxic so you better ask your pharmacist or doctor.

You would be unlikely to be overdosing on Vitamin C from what you describe.

People have tolerated very high dose vitamin C to the point where it can interfere with their medications.

For the most part, you will just urinate out any vitamin C you don't need.

Oddly, rats are exquisitely sensitive to vitamin C overdose and too much can easily kill them!
