It is highly probable that you have OCD. Treatment for this involves a technique called exposure and ritual prevention (Ex/RP). With Ex/RP you will be repeatedly exposed to the objects that make you feel contaminated and will then be prevented from washing or cleaning yourself. It is quite difficult at first, but after a few days to a week you begin to habituate to touching these contaminating objects until they are basically just another thing and don't bother you. You don't have to see a therapist if you don't want to, but that is only if you feel that you can effectively taper your compulsive washing and can simply let your obsessions about cleanliness pass through your head without becoming distressed.
Feel free to message me if you'd like more info, and good luck!

Then it's a possibility that it may be OCD. Signs of OCD are having to have your things organized in a specific way and if its not it bothers you. If you walk into a room that has books in an uneven stack or something laing o nthe floor it will bother you. I don't think constantly checking a test is a sign of it but the washing of the hands may be. Speak to a docotr if you have question of if you have it and things that you may be able to do to calm down a bit. If you have it I'm pretty sure you can't get rid of it.

You may be OCD but it's really not a bad thing. When you see all of these people go into bathrooms and come out without washing their hands, it's disgusting. Better to be the way you are then the alternative.
I'm pretty much the same way.

The best thing to do is contact your GP or a therapist. They can help a lot.
Recent studies have concluded that people who have ocd, the best cure is to meet with people who have had it and who have overcome their problem.
Good luck
