We have health insurance through my husbands work which he pays $65 a week for. Before our insurance pays for anything we have an $800 per year family deductible and a $25 per visit co-pay. Then the insurance pays 80% of whatevers left. I feel like we are wasting the $65 a week because we never use the insurance. We can't afford to go to the doctor. I have even tried to take my kids to the community health clinic where they charge a fee on a sliding scale but they won't see us because we have insurance.

What do people do who don't qualify for any goverment assitance but still can not afford to go to a doctor?

I bought 1 of those self heating coffee's in a can. after opening it, I went to take a sip and I got a mouthful of chemicals. Then when I set it down, it starting smoking and got so hot I couldn't hold it. I am wondering if I should contact a lawyer, in case there is some effect with the chemicals I swallowed.

I have a feeling this is one of those because I changed my diet slightly. More fruits and veggies, less soda (I'm a Mt. Dew addict, so it was hard). Before I did, I have a sharp stabbing pain, that turned into an on-going (for 1 month now) dull, achy pain in my right and left abdomin. After I changed my diet, it slowly disappeared, but is still there on occassions. When I move for too long or too much, it starts to hurt. It's worse on my period. I've been constipated for awhile, but when I take M.O.M (milk of mag.), I get unconstipated, but it comes back (sometimes in diarrhea form). It tends to hurt under my right rib and worse when I eat foods (every food plus water). I have horrible nausea and never vomitted, but have been on the edge of it. Off and on headaches, weakness and fatigue. I don't think I left anything out. Ultra-Sound, Urine, and X-Ray's were fine. What do you think this is?

this happens so intermittently that I cannot pinpoint a food trigger that would cause this flare up. Painful, rotten egg smelling, well 'farts' that are quite distressing to me and my family. What besides a food trigger could be causing this? I have scrutinized my diet and cannot isolate the source. Thank you for your input on such an embarrassing matter!

i have a very bad sore throat. My tonsils and glands are swollen. My throat is red and bulgy.I have a fever. I've been very tired with headaches. I have had some tenderness around my left rib cage. My ears have been a little sore too. I've also been extremely naseaus? Is that a symptom of mono? My question is could this be mono? and also can babys catch mono?

I am 15 and a junior in high school. after 8th grade i moved to a new town and went to a new school where i only knew 1 person. i quickly had 3 close friends. one of them is into sex and drugs now (she used to not be like that) and she transferred schools, the other ditched me for another group of friends, and the one i knew from before is still an o.k. friend.but at lunch she goes home alot so i am stuck in the library alll alone at lunch and so pretty much i am a loner. this really hurts; esp. b/c at my old school i had a ton of friends...what do i do? i always walk around school alone and feel so lonely..im really nice but quiet too.im not quiet around friends tho. im only quiet around people i don't know well so technically i am quiet all the time now. this really stresses me out how im a loner at school and has affected my health - i get really bad tension headaches now and today at my doctor for my physical he said my blood pressure and pulse were high...what do i do?

okay this is going to sound really stupid. i have a sense of humor like no other so i tend to laugh hysterically a lot of the time. when when i laugh too hard or long i start like suffocating and can't breathe. it is really funny once it is over with but it is embarrassing and scary. is this dangerous? it happens like 10-20 times a day. i can't control my laughter! instead of crying i do that.

I have this round bite, at first it was two little punture marks like those of a big spiders fangs and it turned into a weird rash on my leg, my husband says: LYME DISEASE, Oooo stay away from me!!!! (its about the size of a dime and itches like crazy)
now if you have it, WOULD THE TICK STILL BE IN YOU? as the first sentence of this article says "tick bites" like the little freaky tick bites you and moves on, I thought they hung on and enjoyed the feast for as long as possible!

I was wondering if you get viruses every couple of weeks. Not necessarily with a fever but really achy and stomach trouble (more than usual being that I have colitis/inflammation of the colon which is part of the large intestine), experiencing dizziness and, of course, fatigue can come with the territory of fibro. Just wondering if that was common in those with fibro albeit the rheumatologist said that he doesn't believe that I have chronic fatigue syndrome. Thank you so much!
