this happens so intermittently that I cannot pinpoint a food trigger that would cause this flare up. Painful, rotten egg smelling, well 'farts' that are quite distressing to me and my family. What besides a food trigger could be causing this? I have scrutinized my diet and cannot isolate the source. Thank you for your input on such an embarrassing matter!

You say you have looked at your diet, but have you tried eliminating certain foods to see if that stops it.

There are tablets and liquids that are supposed to help, but they never did much for me.

I know from personal experience that the one that burn on the way out are the foulest of them all. The burning and stench are caused by hydrogen sulfide. Hydrogen sulfide is the same thing as sewer gas, and it is just as deadly as cyanide.

It could be related to lactose intolerance.
Could be from garlic too.
For now, until you figure out what the cause is,
try buying and using : "Beano or Gas X"
they work well.
