I was wondering if you get viruses every couple of weeks. Not necessarily with a fever but really achy and stomach trouble (more than usual being that I have colitis/inflammation of the colon which is part of the large intestine), experiencing dizziness and, of course, fatigue can come with the territory of fibro. Just wondering if that was common in those with fibro albeit the rheumatologist said that he doesn't believe that I have chronic fatigue syndrome. Thank you so much!

I apologize as I meant to add the 'l' in fibromyalgia :)

I have had fibromyalgia for years, I don't get viruses, often, but there are a lot of symptoms that go along with it. Most doctors will not even discuss it with you, because they don't have any idea what it is, or how to treat it. They just want to pump you full of paid meds and will try to pump you full of anti-depressants too, if you allow them. Best thing to do is research it several places on the web and do what you think is best in your case. It's bad enough to be in pain, but to have someone tell you it is your imagination, or try to dull is your brain, we don't need that do we? Until they come up with a medication for it, best thing to do is keep moving. And learn yourself, how to live with it.
