Because the last few nights(of taking it) I found myself in different rooms of the house without recalling how I got there in the first place when I woke up.

Surely! I have experience sleep walking and sleep eating while taking Ambien. My mother woke up one morning to find out she had been cooking in her sleep while on Ambien. She also experienced sleep eating. Very scary, could you imagine the consequences if you got into your car! Talk to your doctor and switch to something else.

I had heard that some people do sleepwalk like this, but scoffed at the whole idea.
Well, the other night I got up and cooked a roast!
Trouble was, I used a plastic container and almost set the house on fire. I didn't remember a thing, and woke up to a terrible burnt smell. Now, I'm afraid to take Ambien again.

I have read many accounts of sleepwalking while taking Ambien. I take Lunestra instead. It works much better. If I take it at 10 p.m., I am asleep by 10:20 p.m., and I don’t wake up until about 5:30 a.m. I also feel perfectly rested the next day.

Good luck!

I take Ambien CR & have done many things I have no memory of until I find the evidence of it the following morning. I've sent emails; text messages; I've cooked & eaten food; I've eaten my next days' lunch...all without any remembrance of having done it.

This is scary! Thank you for posting. I have rarely slept for more than 2-3 hours at a time and was thinking of asking my doctor about it.

No way do I want it now.

I've heard of that. Also my friend takes it and he claims to have sleep walked or woke up not in bed! Consult your doctor about possible side affects before taking.
