So for the past couple years this happens every so often but when it does it seems to happen all day long and then stop for a couple weeks. Ill just be doing normal activities (driving watching t.v. etc...) and i will take a breath and it is like my heart skips a beat and then it pounds real hard then is normal. when it happens my chest gets tight and i cant breathe but when it happens it happens within a second. anything to be worried about? I'm 21, 6'2'', 162lbs, smoke 2-8 single ciggarettes daily, drink 6-18 beers daily, have crohns disease. i asked this question before and someone said it was GERD. but i dont see how thats possible cause i dont think ive ever experienced heartburn.

I know it sounds like a stupid question. But it's a real problem for me. After I finish lunch, I felt really sleepy, and HAVE to take a long naps. I'm a college students, althuogh I have some spare time, but I don't want to waste too much of my time.

For some reason, I lost all my ability to control myself after I finish lunch. What I used to do is, go back to school library and sit in a real public area. So I sort of forced myself not to sleep.

Is there anyway around this? Any help?
(I tried not to drink coffee, plus drinking coffee everyday is expensive and I don't think it's good for you body.)

I think I have a cold again. I just had a cold I believe at the end of July or early August. I was in a different city in Michigan then. Now I am back in Detroit, and I know the temperature all over the US has been pretty "un-normal." Anyway, since I moved back in my dorm, which was 4 days ago, my air and window has not been working. And while trying to get the RA's to get in touch with people to get it fixed, I have been sleeping in a stuffy room. Can that be the cause of why I am getting signs of another cold? By staying in the stuffy room while it's really hot out? I mean, I'm not suffucating or anything, it's just realllly stuffy in here. I woke up this morning to a stuffy nose, and it was a little bit cooler outside with the little air I could get from the window. But has anybody ever gotten a cold after just getting over another one?

Alright..
My boyfriend got these pills from a "shady" doctor and he said in order to get them again he needs to have an MRI that states that his swollen ankles is causing him enough pain so that he can have these pills.
I know it sounds really bad.. :/
So, I need to put together a MRI paper stating his symptoms and all the medical terminology.
does anyone know how i can do that?
Please help ME!

Hi, my brother is about 13 years old. He's been playing hockey for about 4 years and this year he doesnt like his coach and his teammates. He tells me that he isnt good enough to be playing on the AA level that he is at. Recently whenever he has to go to hockey he will burst into tears and hold his stomach. Its almost obvious that hes faking it but at the same time you cant think that he is because he genuinely looks like hes in pain. For example the other day I was punchng him and throwing him around (brotherly like of course) and he was fine then 4 hrs later when my dad told him to get ready he started crying and holding his stomach. What we think it might be is some kind of anxiety. He went to the doctor and they said nothing was wrong with him. Any ideas?

There is a shortage of over 50,000 pharmacist in the US, pharmacies need to close for days because they do not have enough employees, people are waiting in line to receive bad service ( because the pharmacists are working to hard)....

On the other hand, the National board of pharmacy (NABP) doesn't case about anything but money. It is not important to them that there are 3000, "Harvard Material", pharmacists that are trying to be licensed. When I call the NABP, they just ignore the problem and repeat the same record.

I would like to make it public, the solution exist, at least part of it, but I do not find someone, with influence, that actually cares.

Any suggestions?

She has done this for a while now. But last night she would stop for about 10 seconds, when she came out of it she somewhat snorted and when to sleeping normally. 3 breaths later the same thing. She was sleeping on her back. We rolled her onto her side and it didn't happen again.

A couple of years ago she did this,I shook the living crap out of her and she didn't budge. After last night I am concerned about sleep apnea. She is 5 years old. Any parents experience these symptoms in their child?

My hubby had his adenoids taken out in infancy(he went blue when sleeping and limp)is it something that is hereditary?

thanks for reading.

Britain just passed laws that human/animal embryos will be allowed to be developed for research. Does anyone besides myself think that this might introduce, negative things. I mean, I know stem cells in human fetus's can save lives. And since the stem cells will be destroyed anyway, I think we should be able to use them. But to mix animal/human embryos, just seems dangerous. I would appreciate your input on this.
