There is a shortage of over 50,000 pharmacist in the US, pharmacies need to close for days because they do not have enough employees, people are waiting in line to receive bad service ( because the pharmacists are working to hard)....

On the other hand, the National board of pharmacy (NABP) doesn't case about anything but money. It is not important to them that there are 3000, "Harvard Material", pharmacists that are trying to be licensed. When I call the NABP, they just ignore the problem and repeat the same record.

I would like to make it public, the solution exist, at least part of it, but I do not find someone, with influence, that actually cares.

Any suggestions?

Well, maybe you are looking in the wrong place. Where I live, there is a pharmacist on every street corner. LOL
Seriously, anytime you get into a licensing board this will happen. If you look far enough into their politics you will probably find a reason they are slowing things down.

easily pharmacists or pharmacy technicians? there's a great great distinction. It takes a school degree to alter right into a pharmacist, on the various hand in lots of states you may substitute right into a pharmacy tech it extremely is very an assistant to a pharmacist with decrease than a 300 and sixty 5 days at at a commerce college or community college. And with some thing scientific mind-blowing there is mostly a call for for and shortage of workers.

NABP is just the group which writes the NAPLEX and MJPE. The accrediting body for pharmacy colleges is ACPE. They are the ones who have the stronger control on number of pharmacy colleges. However, it was NABP which decided to require the PharmD to take the NAPLEX. The goal of the ACPE is that new pharmacists are up to today's and tomorrow's world of pharmacy. There are more than 3000 pharmacists graduating each year.

while there is a shortage of pharmacists, 50,000 is overestimating it by quite a bit.

Who are these pharmacists that are waiting to be licensed? Licensing is done by the states......not NABP. If you have a degree from an accredited university, pass the state law exam, pass the NABPLEX (or state board in some states), and pay your fee then you're in.

I don't complain about the shortage. It means more...........hmmmmm............money for me and those I work with.
