Do these things and your breath should be damn near odorless:
1) Floss! Not flossing is a huge cause of bad breath. I would do it whenever you feel like you need to. Every tooth too! Even a small amount of food left for long enough can make your whole mouth stink. Disgusting but true.
2) This part is important. Take a glass and mix a few tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide with a small amount of water. Say one tablespoon of water for every three tablespoons hydrogen peroxide. Then take your toothbrush, rinse it in your glass, and then brush your tongue with it. It should foam up a little. This is because of the dying germs, (the ones that make your breath stink). When you feel like you done a good job take the remainder of the mix and rinse your mouth out with it. You can gargle too if you like. Just don't swallow! I'm sure a very small amount won't hurt you but just don't take a big swig of the stuff. Just like mouthwash.
Anyway, I've been doing this for a few months and I wish I would have known this years ago. It works so much better than commercial mouthwash and is so much cheaper. It's just makes you feel so much more comfortable around people when you know your breath doesn't stink. Especially for kisses!
Also, another thing you might want to consider is that not all bad breath comes from the mouth. Sometimes it's can come from your stomach. Drinking a lot of milk will make your breath stink regardless of how clean your mouth is. (The milk ferments in your stomach.) Also certain illnesses can cause bad breath. If these two steps don't work you should consider talking with your doctor.
Just do it whenever you feel like you need it. I do it about every two weeks.
I hope this helps!

Brushing your teeth at least twice a day, controlling any sinus related issues and using a water pic and flossing to dislodge the food particles that are hiding inbetween your teeth. A good cleaning at the dental office twice a year will also discourage a lot of peridontal disease from setting up shop in your mouth. Also give up smoking as it slows siliva production and develops an atmosphere that germs multiply in.

Well that smell has to come from somewhere...and what I mean by that is that something your eating may be disperssing this type of smell. Always and its a known fact that when you eat alot of fruits and vegies your breath does smell better and your healthier. Cut down on whatever is unhealthy that may be causing this smell but always make sure, fruits, and take deep breaths, dont always close your mouth air it out I suppose is what I mean

mints & mouthwash actually dry out your mouth, letting more bacteria breed. to keep a fresh mouth, drink plenty of water. this will keep wash away bacteria and keep it from breeding and spreading. also, when brushing make sure you pay attention to the roof of your mouth, sides of your mouth, and tongue. bacteria during the night multiplies and clings to all these areas, not just your teeth.

brush your teeth, concentrating more on the gum line, the gums, the roof of the mouth, the cheeks and the tongue. Food is rotting in your face. That and maybe take an antacid for the stomach.

If its chronic no matter how much you brush your teeth and tongue three times a day, then its your eating habits.
Turn it around with whole raw fruits and salads and quit pizza, cheese, dairy, sugar and starchy breads. Replace all liquids you drink with filtered water.
For example, a nice pork chop, green beans with side salad and water would be a better choice than a cheeseburger, fries, and a diet coke.

Make sure you scrape or brush your tongue. Floss regularly, and drink lots of water to keep bacteria at bay. You could also try chewing on parsley or sugar -free gum. If none of that works, the problem may be internal, and you should see your dentist for advice.

brushing your toungue lightly when you brush your teeth, and drinking a lot of water. if you need a quick fix for a few minutes, try some cinammon gum. apparently the cinammon oil kills bad breath germs, so it works better than other gums for freshening breath.
