Why does your nose run when you cry?

I just took it in science this year.When we cry the tears go through this red part in the eye on the sides.But there is a canal inside the eye that joins between the nose and the eye and some tears go through that canal so thats why our noses run.

The tear ducts and nasal passages are linked. When you cry some of the tears will get into your nose. They are sterile so you get a clearer nose for a while

It's just your body's repsonse. Why don't you think about why salt water is coming out of your eyelids?
