my daughter has had problems with ear infections and today the doctor found a white lump in her ear canal. i need to know what his could mean. i'm so afraid it could be cancer, so i'm trying to find what his could be until i get to the ear nose throat guy. somebody please help me

Hi can anyone help i am 45 and have cateracts, unfortunately because i only have one particularly so called good eye the health service won't operate at the moment telling me the risks outway the benefits .I 'm told there's eye drops called bright eye's that apperantly dissolve the cateracts, any help will be much obliged.

I have had painful swollen glands under my neck for 2 days now, yesterday I had a really sore throat, hard to swallow, and sharp shooting pain going down the left side of my neck, today the other side of my throat was sore, and now I'm having sharp shooting under my tongue. My glands are still swollen. Does anyone know what this is?

I recently injured my neck in hockey some kid rammed me into the boards head first and now when i jerk my neck back, move it in a wrong direction or use any muscle to pull back on something like opening a car door it hurts really bad. Its wicked sore even when i'm not doing anything. Does anyone know any excercises i can try or anything to make it help besides asprin or ibuprofen? Thanks

I will have my gastroscopy next week. How long does it take until you finish? Is it painful when they put a tube inside your mouth down to your stomach? How does it feel? What will happen after gastroscopy test? Thanks.

Ok, so sometimes after eating (especially when I eat seafood or wine) I get a really bad pain in the lower left side of my abdomen. It almost always happens when I got out to eat. Only once it happened at home. Has anyone else had this? Could I be allergic to these things. I know I should see a doctor, I've seen 3. First they thought I was pregnant (nope), then they said it was acid reflux (nope) , then they did an ultrasound because they thought it was my ovaries (nope), then I had a tube down my throught to check out my stomach. Nothing was wrong, they told me it was due to stress but I'm a lot less stressed out now and it still happens. So anyway, does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this?

Okay, this morning before school, I took a shower, and hopped right back into bed because I had extra time to sleep. Anyways, I was lying there and slowly falling asleep again and as I was falling asleep the weirdest thing happened. I was, in my head imaginging how it would be if I couldn't move my body.. and it was weird because after that I was trying to move... except I swear to god, I couldn't move.. it was for like 5 seconds... then I finally like was able to move and when I was able to move again.. I scream with a gasp and suprisingly found myself outta breath.. I know this wasn't a bad dream because this happened to me twice this morning. And it first happened to me 2 weeks ago. except the second time I wasn't thinking about being paralyzed.. It was so weird I was slowly falling asleep, then somehow tried to wake up and move, but literally was physically unable to, I told my mom she said that It could be evil spirits and stuf.. but I want a medical/scientific reason for this

A few years back, my wife started to feel edgy going up steep elevators or stairs, and stadium seating. It has gradually got worse, especially in stadiums when we go see a show or something. She tells me that it feels like she's falling forward and has no control. She has never been afraid of heights before and cannot understand why its happening now. Is this vertigo or something like it? Please give us some advice on how to counter this effect.

i have a sixteen year old who wants her tongue pierced. but my concern is her health and her teeth. My sister got hers done about ten years ago, she no longer wears it because she thinks and I believe that because of the piercing, she has lost weight her once perfectly straight teeth are crooked and when she gets sick it's hard for her to fight it off. I want an honest answer before I make my decision.

im 23 yrs and im studying away from my home country, i have been suffering from clinical depression for as long as i can remember,i went to the doctor and he was too good at giving me antidepressants,seroxat to be exact.

i quit when i realised i was becoming addicted to them.Now life is becoming almost unbearable,i used to take the damn drugs so that i could face people in my class, im the shy type.i dont have much friends in this life and as i hd said im in a foreign country so family are far away.

Now im struggling with low self esteem,and complete lack of motivation, i do not feel like going to class because in that class i do not have a friend,i do not have interest in my academics anymore yet i have been getting straight A`s all along.

i do not have a lot of energy anymore,im not as vibrant as i used to.i have read all books possible on self esteem and the lack of it.
anybody please help me out....

i have been wearing contacts/glasses for over a year or so now. but i havent been wearing my contacts for the last month becuz i ran out..all of a sudden the last two days, i can see a whole lot better farther away now, without using my contacts or glasses... and i am no longer nearsignted, i am farsighted.. which means i can see things from a distance but not when its in front of me. is that possible ? very weird.

I am trying to ween myself off caffeine. I have been feeling nauseated on and off and if I drink a pop it goes away. I really want to change my eating/drinking habits so I am healthier, but even though I am trying really hard I feel like I am failing because I hate the withdrawls and the only way to get rid of the sick feeling is to chug a pop. I used to drink 6-8 pops a day...(no coffee). I am down to only 2-3 per day. How long does it take your body to adjust? I also take medication for migraines and I want to ween off of those too. I think my migraines were mostly caused by too much caffeine. I want so much to be free of meds/caffeine. Any suggestions to make it easier?
