i have been wearing contacts/glasses for over a year or so now. but i havent been wearing my contacts for the last month becuz i ran out..all of a sudden the last two days, i can see a whole lot better farther away now, without using my contacts or glasses... and i am no longer nearsignted, i am farsighted.. which means i can see things from a distance but not when its in front of me. is that possible ? very weird.

yes ur eye muscles can change. there is a book out but i'm unsure of the title sorry. but my boss told me about it to try eye exercises. i now read without my glasses. throughout the day i'll just take out my contacts or glasses and concentrate on objects that are blurry to see. since then my eye muscles have gotton stronger. for laser eye surgury they said until ur the age of 25 ur eyes will change.

Most people won't tell you this, but your eyes get accustomed to what it is use to. So people get dependent on glasses and when they don't have them on, there is the "illusion" of not seeing well.

I would say contacts/glasses are okay. But it is also okay to give your eyes a break from time to time.

Good luck and best wishes!

Our eye muscles get weak when we wear our glasses, I know there is an old wives tale about not wearing corrective lenses would help restore the muscle.
