Okay, this morning before school, I took a shower, and hopped right back into bed because I had extra time to sleep. Anyways, I was lying there and slowly falling asleep again and as I was falling asleep the weirdest thing happened. I was, in my head imaginging how it would be if I couldn't move my body.. and it was weird because after that I was trying to move... except I swear to god, I couldn't move.. it was for like 5 seconds... then I finally like was able to move and when I was able to move again.. I scream with a gasp and suprisingly found myself outta breath.. I know this wasn't a bad dream because this happened to me twice this morning. And it first happened to me 2 weeks ago. except the second time I wasn't thinking about being paralyzed.. It was so weird I was slowly falling asleep, then somehow tried to wake up and move, but literally was physically unable to, I told my mom she said that It could be evil spirits and stuf.. but I want a medical/scientific reason for this

There is nothing wrong with you and surprisingly, this is fairly common. It primarily has to do with sleep patterns of the brain. In sleep you have decreased levels of conciousness and decreased levels of motor control. Usually these are suppressed simultaneously... but not always. There can be a "state" where you're almost asleep. Your level of conciousness is severely suppressed but you have some concious thought process and awareness of your surroundings. But your MOTOR function is still completely supressed. These states are usually while falling asleep or waking up. It can induce almost a state of panic as you try multiple things to "wake yourself up." It's not dangerous and as far as I know, there is no treatment other that adequate and proper sleep patterns.

Hope that helped.

What you're describing is called 'sleep paralysis'. There's probably a fancier name for it than that, but that's what I got for ya. You ask for a medical/scientific reason, and what I found is this: "Paralysis while asleep is the normal condition. The body secretes hormones which relax certain muscles and prevent you from acting out your dreams." It's waking up that causes the problem. The first link even offers some things you can try to alleviate it. The second link is where the above quote came from.

Instead of swearing to God, try praying to Him during those times you are lying still (and at all times) and do not invite such thoughts into your heart. I'm not ruling out the possibility of physical problems but many times spirits will trouble your health and it's felt in the physical realm of course. You can never separate your body, mind and spirit from one another. What affects one affects the other. Many illnesses from spiritual problems cannot be explained by medical science and many miracles of healing cannot be explained by medical science either. That's the reality of life. Prayer to the God of the living never hurt anyone and besides He promised to keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him. If you are dabbling in the occult in any shape form or fashion from rock music to images such as buddha idols to games such as dungeons and dragons, or sexual addictions or drug experimentations, I would suggest you cease those things and clean house physically and spiritually. Guard your heart with all diligence. If the problem persists, keep a diary of the symptoms and insist on seeing a medical specialist and no matter what, keep praying to God.

it could be the whole mind over matter thing. the best thing to do is to go see your doctor explain the whole situation and see where it goes from there. it could be many things, i have anemia which is an iron deficiency and there are times where if my iron plumettes i go into a "sleep state" where i can't move, hear or anything and i will be that way for a couple of hours. it could also just be that your body is worn out, dehydrated, anything really. so my suggestion make an appointment with your doctor or if it bothers you that bad go into the er and get checked out.
