I am on anti-depressants to help alleviate the depression, but it keeps getting worse. I finally succeeded in quitting smoking, but I feel worse now than I did for the eleven years that I smoked. I've been exercising and eating right to. I just don't know what else to do.

My hangovers scares me and make me be very carefull while drinking, but just for the sake of curiosity I would like to know why my Hangovers seems to be worst than others

My hangover consist in:
Fever
Chills
Nauseous
Most of the time it just gets worst until I vomit (puke)
Some times includes several vomits
Hardcore migraine (until I puke several times, then its gone, unless
Im hungry and the migraine starts again)
Also I feel dizzy and have this sweating sensation

Whenever Im in a conversation with someone about this and I start mentioning my situation people go like "wtf?"]

So I guess a good sleep its just enough for an average person to get rid of hangover , and if that doesnt work, they just drink some water and voila!

I try drinking lots of water, usually failing cause I puke all of it out

Could it be that my body is having problems holding liquids or something like that?

News headlines are running a story about a woman who died from drinking too much water at once. So, what's the rule governing how much water a person can safely drink in a certain period of time?

link to the story...

My daughters ped. called me today regarding a bladder infection that my daughter had last october. She told me that she wants to have my daughters urine reckd, and to do further testing. I asked what the further testing was for, and she said to see if she will be prone to bladder infections. My daughter is 3. This was her first bladder infection. The doctor also said that this is very important to do, because she will be a woman one day, and of child bearing age and this is very important to have this "further testing" done. I was completely thrown off guard. Any input would be appreciated, and has anyone ever heard of this???

I came down with bronchitis and a really high fever over 104 degrees, which left me feeling like my brains had been fried and gave me hallucinations. My husband got the fever down with cool towels and ibuprofen.

The next day the doctor gave me clarithromycin (Biaxin) to get things under control. Two doses in and I suddenly had the urge to vomit and go to the bathroom with violent cramping. About a minute later I lost my vision and most of my hearing with limb numbness. I was rushed to the ER. Apparently my blood pressure (BP) was extremely low and the medicine causes abnormal heart rhythms.

Thankfully my vision returned and most things seem to have restored themselves. But 2 weeks later I am still hearing a high pitched ring in my ears, and my short term memory is horrible - also I keep "spacing out", though my fever is gone. I have bad headaches still.

Could this incident have done permanent damage to my heart or brain?

I started to get ill back around April, and slowly went downhill. I must have appeared a little weird and unsociable at times but I sort of managed to keep it together. I went way downhill around Oct-Dec and finally got a proper diagnosis. I'm recovering now.
Should I tell people how sick I was, or just move on and start being normal again? On one hand I want to explain myself, (but that's like having to say "Remember 5 months ago when I used to.....?") but on the other hand, since I "appeared" just slightly odd back then and didn't see anyone during my worst period, I don't think many people will understand how bad I got.
Explain or move on?

Everyone around me is sick, my co-workers, my roomates, and my boyfriend! I can't afford to be sick again. I am currently taking 1 multivitamin and 1 vitamin C per day (total of 560 mg of vitamin C). Should I increase the amount of vitamin C right now to help in not getting it or getting it bad (to 1060 mg)? Also, what else should I do to shield myself from it? (I get sick VERY easily)

My mom has been using regular cooking oil all this time. I adviced my mom to switch to either corn oil or olive oil, because those are healthy oils that don't contain ingredients that harm one's health. Then my sister told my mother not to do so because she claims when you cook your food with olive or corn oil, the oil will become carcinogenic, hence cancer-causing. Is this true at all? Thanks in advance.
