Of course it should be legal.

It has been legal for most of its 5000 or more years as a medicine and a spice and a herb and a food source to all people whoever lived on the earth as one of God's plants from the garden most religions agree we were supposed to tend.

Why should a predudice exist with so many deadly poisons in the pharmacy to persecute a major minority of select people from the last 70 years only out of the last 5000 years of human rights.

The alienation of the social implication of the legal status is blatent discrimination imposed by competing industries and lobby groups and therefore the cannabis criminals should be compensated for the invasion of their rights and freedoms legally bestowed upon them.

Cannabis was good enough to write bibles and the constitution 2 of 3 originals to be written on standing up for the rights and freedoms of the people and the cornerstone of the laws.

Let me know when my compensation check is comming. Maybe we can turn the prizons into day care centers when half of them are empty.

I dont see why its illegal in the first place, the only bad thing that it does is that it makes you lazy, tired, and your short term memory is almost non-existent. Ciggarettes are legal and they kill millions of people every year and you only have to be 18 to buy them. They cause lung, mouth, and throat cancer. Alchol is legal and that cause death as well. And it destroys lives by alcholism people lose their jobs thier familys everything and yet you only have to be 21 to buy it. Thousands of people die from drunk driving, those in the cars and innocent bystanders. Wives and children get abuse by people intoxicated. It destroys your liver and kidnyes over time. Marijuana has alot more benifts than these 2 drugs. Cancer patieints use it to build thier appetite again after large doses of radiation reduce appetite thier are pills available that do the same thing but there are too many side effects to make it work effectivly. People with cadaracks use it for thier eyes, It help releive stress and joint and muscle pain. The only reason why its illegal now is back in the 20's when prohibiton was law Marijuana became the new drug to use then when prohibition was done people continued to smoke pot. So the lawmakers came up with a scheme and said marijuana was the cause of all the crimes that black people committed so congress outlawed marijuana. But i guess its for the best cause if it were legal im sure it would be taxed like crazy. But it would be cool to smoke in a coffee house like the ones in amsterdam.

I don't think it should be legalized. People who are sick with cancer and other medical problems are given marijuana either way so why legalize it? I read once that a teenager almost died because of marijuana. Kids and teenagers are doing drugs more and more. Why help them by legalizing it? Kids copy others. Do we want our kids to be this way? You don't need drugs to relieve stress and make you feel good. There are other ways. Why go the illegal route? It has some pretty interesting long term effects from what I've read. Why risk it?

Yes, it should be legalized. I am sick and tired of employers and random drug testing for THC. Leave the pot smokers alone and concentrate on the crack users. I never in my life heard of anyone getting injured from a Pot related accident. It is delicious, it makes you feel wonderful, and music is absoulutely awesome with a buzz on. I do miss my pot. I have not smoked it in 15 years. I do hope that it becomes legal.

Pot and hashish, said by regular smokers to be all virtue, can give you signs of depression and totally confuse your brain, leaving lasting marks. I know it from personal experience, now you may believe whatever you want. That having been said, I couldn't care less if it were legalized. It's just bad - if it's "good", cause most of it is almost like cigarette smoking - and people don't seem to notice.

I am an AIDS patient, and I can tell you that marijuana does a great deal to relieve not only some of the symptoms I suffer from, but it also smoothes out the side effects of the AIDS drugs that I take.
Yes, it can also mellow you out. Of course it should be legal.

marijuana shouldn't be legalized because they banned it for a reason .................. to cut down on accidents and medical problems but since all of the new drugs have come out and weed is the least effective compared to them. i dont smoke it so i dont know. i hope that helps you with your report.

im sure you've got a myspace post it on there to see what they think, they might be a little more helpful.

A few states have made it legal but the federal government says its illegal for all states. The problem with marijuana for many people is that it makes them lethargic and lazy. I like it because it gives me energy and thought clarity. I lke to go running when I am high.

Yes. I've never used it myself, but many have. I do wish they would legalize it though. I've heard that it can be so helpful for people who are ill. Anything that can be done to help with pain or to make a bad situation better is okay in my book.
