I have recommended Peppermint Plus (by Enzymatic Therapy) or its generic equivalent Enteric Coated Peppermint Oil capsules to numerous persons with IBS and gotten splendid results almost every time. Most good health food stores will have this product or you can get it on line. Also, try taking a good digestive enzyme pill with meals and the best probiotic supplement you can afford. Good luck!

There are three types of IBS.. one with diarrhea, one with constipation, and the other that has both. Do you get both? If so you need to take fiber therapy.. Fibercon has it in pill form so you don't have to drink that other stuff, just take the pills as directed with a full glass of water. Milk products may be your trigger, lactore intolerance? Go into your doctor so they can feel around and check your history to make sure it is IBS. Then they can tell you what you can do to lessen the symptoms (no real way to stop IBS entirely) of the type you have.

you know . i have had ibs for years now. and i know what your going through. first of all you need to go to your family doctor and see what they can do for you. they have different kinds of medicine to help with all those nasty symptoms. in the mean time eat about 5 to 6 small meals a day. it helps your body obsorb and process your food better. stay away from milk. get the lactose free milk . regular milk just irritates it more. stay away from fatty foods. and greezy foods also. drink plenty of water and stay away from soda pop. theres lots of things to do for it. try that . but as soon as you can please get to your doctor so they give you something to help keep it under control. good luck.
