she's only 17. she's been complaining a lot. i came over to her house today and she seemed terrible, i really don't know what to do, what should i get her to take? do? any advice? it couldn't be anything else but cramps, right? i'm slightly worried
well, what i'm going to do is stay and talk to her, keep her mind off it and give her lot of cuddles...heh

I've noticed if I lift something heavy, my cramps get better for a few hours. One girl I know has someone hug her from behind and lift her up, stretching her belly muscles, and she says that helps a lot, too.

Give her a heating pad to use for maybe 20 minutes at a time, not too long though. She could take some ibuprofen for the pain and drink plenty of water. In the future, if you take ibuprofen 2 days prior it will help ease cramps up a little. That's real sweet, take her mind off of the pain. :)

Get her to take a pain reliever like Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, or aspirin. Take it every 4-6 hours during the worst part of the cramps.

mine are so horrendous that sometimes I can't get out of bed.
Take her Motrin. She can take up to 4 200mg tabs at once. (Rx strength). Within about an hour they are subdued so that I can function.
She should get on the birth control pill, it alleviates mine a lot.
Also, no caffeine or alcohol...it makes them worse.
Oh and put a heating pad on her abdomen
